Tourney WRGPT - PCF last longer? (1 Viewer)

I went all-in yesterday, too... but my table is really making me sweat it. Slow action going on.

Well, I got it in good, QQ over TT.

Thanks, @snooptodd , for introducing me to this. I'll be playing annually.

Poker-by-email is painfully slow, but you have to just accept and adapt. When you do... it's very educational.

When thinking over an action, like whether to call, I could go for a drive and come back to it. I could think more deeply than ever before... and it's about a LIVE hand. With real opponents with unknown cards. It was introspective and informational.

Thanks.

It is definitely an adjustment. Glad you enjoyed it and sorry you're out. I've definitely learned that it takes patience, and it's usually pretty crazy for the first month or two as people lose their patience and just jam anything. You really never know what you're going to get at your table.

There's always next year!

So basically I had to decide if I was willing to battle for stacks in this hand. Decision already made (held As-Jc), but what would you do?

(Screen shot posted because I can't handle the formatting of copy/paste, and can't figure out how to change the font to make it work right.)

Yep, not playing for stacks with AJ vs AA, AK, AQ, QQ, any of which could easily be Villain's holdings. Prolly AK, though - I doubt he'd bet the flop with a set or two pair.

Yeah, I obviously folded. Tough because you never know in this thing if people are just done with it and jamming, but the right play is almost certainly a fold.

I'm also in a BARGE last longer for this event, which drew 47 entries. That one is going to take a lot longer to determine a champ.

Ugh, super cooler. Down to 21k. Don't any way I don't lose the maximum in this hand. If i check the river, I still have to call the shove.

Worth noting that this ICM calculation is done assuming there are only three people remaining in the tournament ... so it's not really worth much. The difference between Jose & Socraticd's chip stacks are really negligible right now, and I've still got 40 big blinds. Figure it's interesting to see, though.

When your WRGPT jam gets called and you have to wait for the rest of the table to act ...

And I'm out ... had a better than 50% shot at tripling up to over 50K, but them's the breaks.

GL @JoseRijo and @Socraticd!

LOL Donkaments.

My starting hands have been horrific. I guess I should be thankful.

This tournament is crazy. I just got a walk in the BB - after antes - in a play money tournament!

Yeah, I'm not quite sure what the K-8 was doing in there. I get the A-Q call, especially because I'd shoved the hand before (w/14k and one caller, so almost 3k out there already). Looked like I was done with the tourney and trying to get eliminated ... I'd have called in that spot too. Don't get me wrong, I like the k-8 call there from my perspective. Just wish the spade hadn't come on the river!

With 327 players remaining, JoseRijo has 57,550, while Socraticd has 18,425.

Blinds now at 600/1,200 with a 200 ante. Hoping one of you takes it down!

I don't know what happened to Socraticd. He went AWOL both here and in the tournament.

Stalling and folding every hand in a play-money email tournament are not my finest moments.
