Negreanu was eliminated on day 1. His assistant bought him back in while he went to his trailer and watched the NBA Finals in it's entirety before he went back in. Not exactly the reality for the masses.

That was all confirmed on his vlog.

For those that care, it’s an adjustment to the SB/4xSB format, especially at the higher levels. At the mid levels you just can’t let it go too long or your short.
For instance here if Mike has folded his blinds he’s losing 30,000 per orbit. If you look at the whole orbit it might be the same, but when 30,000 leaves your stack all at once in two hands you notice it more (and the rest of the table does, especially if it’s a fourth of your stack) than 6000/12000 with a small ante. So you have to start planning your short/mid stack game a lot sooner in the orbit and you can’t let a single opportunity pass by.

I always have my PA take care of Re-entries. Even at $50 home games. Time is money people!!
 
Thanks all for the kind words. Still feel a bit gutted this morning, but that's life. I had zero expectations before going into its but it's funny how a fantastic day one can give you high flying dreams lol.

I'm gonna drive down to the Vegas south outlet mall and console myself with some shopping :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:. I'm buying myself some new trainers at the very least.

I hope the remaining pcfers crush it.

If you are up for another sandwich, you should hit up Capriotti's, at the Town Square mall (about 1 mile north of the outlet mall on Las Vegas Blvd). The Bobbie is a true American sandwich - and absolutely delicious.
 
Amazing job Mike! You’ll definitely think back to what an accomplishment it was. Just remember the only “happy” person in a tournament of any size is 1st place.......... ;)

So now that you have the taste of WSOP victory we’ll be seeing you next year!!! :tup: ;)

Here's a random question since this is such a unique event with unique payouts.

You can rebuy in a flight and play in two different flights like @DoubleEagle did in flight 1A and 1B after not making it through flight 1A. You can also cash in a single flight like @Perthmike did in flight 2A but not make day 3 when the entire field comes together.

Hypothetically, could Mike play flight 1C or 1D or is he disqualified from re-entering the tournament because he technically cashed in day 2A? Or are you disqualified from re-entering the tournament if you even make it to flight 2A, 2B, or 2C?

Nope, the wife found out she's pregnant the day before I left her in England :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:, early days so we aren't telling friends etc, but I guess the internet is ok lol. But this means my solo Vegas poker trip will be my first and last.

I guess I couldn't ask for more than cashing the biggest WSOP field ever. And I even met John Hesp, the single worst final table player of all time :p. Loved it though, because I was glued to the tv watching his run last year.

I can still fire another bullet. People were doing it in the payout line last night.

I'm not going to though, it's back to cash tables for me and I'm going to enjoy the rest of the trip in a somewhat relaxing fashion lol

Interesting!

Hypothetically, someone could technically cash this event 4 times. That's hypothetical though since the late registration issues they are having would make it impossible.

Congrats! Having a little one has definitely taken my ability to play whenever I want. But it is temporary. As the kid gets older, you will have more time. At 4 or 5 years, it might be a good family vacation back to LV.

I was told you could re-enter another day 1 flight after cashing and being eliminated from day 2.
