Wsop Cherokee temper tantrum (34 Viewers)

So how to handle this guy is actually the least of their concerns. How do you reconstruct all those chip stacks? I highly doubt the surveillance footage is gonna be good enough for that kind of detail.
I don't think you can even think about reconstructing stacks until this guy is neutralized. They should have tased him.

So still not a lot out there on this.

But i found this story indicating they were able to reconstruct stacks from surveillance and decided to proceed.

Story also indicates this happened during a break when players may not have been seated at the table.

That explains how someone could get away with doing it 3 times before being stopped.

Does it? Flipping over an electronic seems like it would be far more costly and damaging.
I would expect the electronic tables would be connected to a central computer system that has all sorts of info about each table in real time. They can probably look at the history of stack sizes throughout the entire tournament

For the sake of the tourney, yes, it’s better but from a cost perspective, you’re replacing an entire computer system as opposed to a folding table that can be easily repaired and put back in place. Yes, you have the information available to restore, but unless you have backup electronic tables, how exactly do you restart this event?

Ace Rothstein would know what to do if this happened at the Tangiers.

Those advocating for electronic tables with no chips... this is the first time I've ever seen this, is once in the history of the WSOP worth throwing out the whole system and starting over? Kind of reactionary.
Right? I was assuming sarcasm.

There’s been numerous posts about electronic tables in casinos here on PCF in the past. I’m sure there’s casinos that would like to move in that direction.
The reason I mentioned it is not that I was advocating for it…just that this incident gives more fuel to the electronic table argument.
