WSOP Chip Usage - 2005 Rio Primary Bud Jones (6 Viewers)

Being a poor peasant, I've never had or expect to be able to touch a WSOP chip. But they look like they're made of hard plastic, much like the cheap bicycle chip. But I don't believe the WSOP would be played with cheap plastic chips...or would they? Does anyone know what material they are made of and their texture and weight?

They are Bud Jones S2 high end plastics and are much better than cheap plastic chips. A lot of people still don't like the plastic even at the higher end because of the texture and slipperiness. It is definitely and acquired taste.

Between some of these that I'm pretty sure I got back on CT, some well timed and found eBay auctions, a couple direct sales from @JrChief8 and of course everyone's new favorite eBay seller, I finally have a "complete" set of the 2005 BJ WSOP chips. I put complete in quotes as I'm missing the super elusive "5".

I'm mostly happy with this photo. It's a touch dark (I tried to brighten it knowing photos get munged a little bit when posted directly to the forum), but generally the colors are about right on my calibrated monitor.

Sorry for the reflections on the inlay part of the chip. I tried as best I could to adjust lights and the angle the camera was facing the chips as best I could, but it was a bit difficult to get a version that was well lit, but also not reducing one or two inlays to an unreadable glare.

I'm missing 4+1

The 5 I've never seen for sale, The 500/1K/5K Orange I could get today but don't want to pay the asking price, and the 10K I have only seen a few of but know they are out there.

What a crazy turn of events for the collecting community that I need the 500 and 1,000 but not the 1,000,000 or 5,000,000.
