WSOP Circuit - Grand Victoria (1 Viewer)

Ok so just arrived in Elgin, IL for the WSOP Circuit at Grand Victoria casino. Playing the Monster Stack in the morning and then ring events from there on out. Maybe the 40/40/40 on Sunday if things go well. Will probably try a landmark satellite or two also. Haven't played a Landmark satellite yet it will be interesting to see how that format works compared to the stall fest they usually are.

Well I shipped it and it didn't work lol. Early levels were going good, made a nut flush and a few other good hands. Right before the break I got AK and bluffed off about 1/3 of my stack and had to bail on the river when I kept whiffing. After the break I got AA and AK twice and couldn't get any shoppers. My last hand the maniac on my right raised and I had AQ which I shoved. I thought he was trying to rob me but he ended up folding QQ after dude to my left cold called my all in. Shit. Dude showed JJ and a J came on the flop so I was toast. Questionable call I guess cuz my table image was good thought he would fold but nope. I was showing down good hands and playing tight/agg. Oh well, an Ace comes and it's a different story.

One thing that's very different from games I usually play in is that there is NO LIMPING. At all. I don't do much limping myself, but there was hardly any at all. Lots and lots of 3 betting but didn't see any 4 bets yet. Play is super aggressive and these dudes are sharp.

Gonna do a bit of studying and take a nap before the $140 deepstack sat at 7pm which there is a Main Event seat for 1st place. Onward.

No luck in the satellite. AQ no good again this time vs. QQ. Back at it tomorrow for the $250 Landmark into the Main and then the ring event at 4pm.

No luck once again in the Landmark. Shoved my short stack with K9 and dude called with Jd10s and made a diamond flush on the river . I had two pair on the turn thought I was good to go but the cards had other ideas. Back to the hotel for a bit to watch The Masters and then off to the 4pm ring event. I haven't done anything dumb yet so gonna stay aggressive and see what happens.

Soooooo close last night. Finished 32 out of around 190. 27 paid so just out of the money. Got short and had to shove my 99. Too bad the dude across from me was licking his lips with AA. Oh well, I played pretty good so can't complain. Headed back today just wasn't feeling it, plus the weather was dogshit and it's fishing weather at home lol.
