You and I and the person who went behind the backs of other members here have completely different world views. You posted a sales ad and others agreed to those terms. You are reneging on those terms for more money. Period. The fairest way to deal with the situation is to honor those who agreed to the terms you set. Thanks for being honest about it at least. But shame on you. Congrats. Maybe I am in the wrong place.

I'm sure everyone will agree your chips your rules, but the goal of the auction is not to uphold the ethics but to extract max value, correct?

Also, if FMV was your aim it probably should have been an auction from get go.

Good luck with your auction, but I won’t be bidding. And I encourage others to think twice before bidding. Transactions in this community are based on trust. Your actions here give me and others ample reason to question your trustworthiness and integrity. This is becoming a trend lately, and the community (if there is one) needs to nip it in the bud soon. I’m just about fed up.

Do you have a third party that can act as an escrow? Because I would have to have chips in hand before I’d send you money. Who knows if you might change your mind after the sale because you might get more money on an eBay auction.

All accurate points but maybe do 5 min of searching on PCF before listing? Plenty of recent sales that will give you the fair market value.

FWIW the ethical move here is to honor your original sales ad and not screw those people who posted dibs. You do you, though.

I thought you had a thread a couple months ago showing these chips off. I'm surprised, the prices you agreed to sell them for in your sale ad seemed fair. I guess squeezing every nickel is the new norm. SUPER GROSS!

Knowing that the forum gave you advice on the market value of these chips back in September, to say you've shot yourself in the foot here, buddy, would be a huge understatement.

Your prices on the WTHC chips were on the high side as it was; unlikely you're going to get more for them at auction now you've pissed off a lot of the motivated buyers.

I will say, I have purchased many chips on this forum before. Always a delightful transaction and respecting those who beat me to the purchase. There was a running joke that one need to be tied in to PCF 24 hours a day. There has come a new wave of members or a new mind set that I really dont llike.

I would bet that if the person who informed you of your undervalued chips, wouldn't have said cr@p if they were first to call dibs. To me they are the ones with sneaky motives.

Reason people dont say if a chip is under value, is cause no one knows why a certain price is set a at certain point. I have sold chips on here also, i am not a collector or trader; I am a poker player who enjoys quality chips in my games. I sell the chips that dont fit into my sets back at cost, if I cant use use them maybe someone from this community can. Other people sell at a certain price to sell quickly, maybe they need the cash for other chips they just purchased. Remember this community offers free ideas, free information, discussions on topics from crypto currencies to poker table builds to how to clean and straighten chips, etc etc.

I dont begrudge you making a profit, but it was your error in not searching the forums to see what the type of chips sold for on the forum. And yes if you overvalued them people would make lower counter offers or your ad would never be sold.

I think the community needs to start using the negative feed back button and not just the positive button. This will give fair warning to members that shady practices were done in the past and the seller should be over looked or at least proceed at your own risk

I'm sorry but I can't bite my tongue any longer...YOU are the type that stops this hobby from growing.

I sent you a message way back offering to buy them what you had whenever you were ready to sell. You got back to me many months later stating I seem "genuine" and "honest" and blah blah and you were asking what I would offer for them. Foolish of me to think of chip karma working in my favor for not selling anything for profit since I've joined.

I offered what I thought to be fair, which was $4/chip for WTHC. I got a "I'll get back to you in a few days" because I didn't offer to buy the T500 just to later find out the same chips I offered to buy on sale. Fine, I'm okay with that. Ultimately that's your right. They're your chips and you can do what you want with them.

But this!? Posting them for sale and then suggesting you're going to do an auction?! SHAME ON YOU
