Wynn Casino Tourney Set - Final pics with custom Seahorse (Pelican style) Case (1 Viewer)

I have a pelican case somewhere I am not using :), maybe I'll play around with the foam this weekend.:D

Oh my goodness, The only issue with this thread is, YOUR NOT SHOWING ENOUGH CHIP PR0N!!!!!! (n) :)

Ya for sure. Those vintage KEM cases are AWESOME! It might be my favorite part about the whole setup lol. They're bakelite and the lid fits so smoothly. Really cool deck case, especially for a project like this. I picked up a few of them.

Although I did replace the vintage KEM decks with Fourniers of course
What size is that Kem case? Bridge? Poker? Also, sell me one.

They're bridge size, which I prefer.

Unfortunately, I paid a lot for them because they came with vintage KEM decks. I'm planning to build another case with one. Let me check my collection and get back to you on that. I don't know if I have a spare or not yet.

Really, really nice!

My only concern would be how long the foam dividers will hold up under heavy use, plucking the stacks in and out. Do they sell extra or replacement customized foam so you can keep a spare on hand, or r-order when an older one breaks down?

Ya, you can order replacement foam for it. I went with the rigid foam, so it should hold up better long term than the softer foam.

Fantastic! My only word of caution, since you said this will be a legacy heirloom set, is the foam in the top of the case. I have a lot of experience with that material over a 20-30 year period.
It doesn't stand the test of time. It can/will degrade into a sticky mess and can/will stick to whatever it is touching. My cased items were high-end audio and music gear. I've also had trouble with it on poker chips.

I'm sure there are a million factors at play so your experience may be different. I've also had longterm storage and use out of the bottom material and had no problem with it at all.

Good tip! I think we've all experienced that degraded/sticky/foamy mess. Maybe it's worth putting a thing plastic protective sheet between the chips and foam for long term storage.

PS: Sick set @RainmanTrail !!

Thanks for the tip. I'll put a cloth over the chips, hopefully that will help
