nerdy amateur designer here with dream concept for this theme.

not sure if i would make this a reality, but i do have experience ordering from alibaba.

issues they would have would be the inlay logos and their tough design restrictions. but maybe on some tina hybrid web molds these would look pretty sweet.

the reason there are no denominations just yet is i needed the flexibility of tourney and cash (all stakes). but im not opposed to assigning some numeric values to these.

also i used the name Infinity copied from the marvel design someone posted here awhile ago.

also, the problem with xmen is you can only have so many yellows and blues, i was trying to mix it up.

notes? thoughts? roast away. i trust most of you on this forum.

The X-Men comics have been going on so long and they've had so many team iterations, it might be hard at first glance to recognize the chip:member representations.

I'd gravitate more toward the 2ng gen team of Wolverine, Colossus, Storm, Nightcrawler, etc.

I've actually been debating doing an X-men set. Frankly.. if I were you and planning to buy Tina chips, I'd just go all-in on the label design and pull in full character art.

Ok yall just wanted to update this thread for this community because I love that there are passionate chip lovers out there besides me.

Updated the design, worked with Tina on their capabilities, and I have not yet received this order yet… but here’s the latest:

43mm hybrid web molds Tina

Tourney set mainly but wanted to add some cash game denoms. Originally I didn’t put # denoms for pricing and stake flexibility reasons, but in the end, I Decided to put # denominations on them and just yolo.

I can’t wait to receive them. Maybe 3-4 more weeks for delivery. Looking forward to gaming them for our little game. I did make a sample set previously with the same style chip and I’ve had great comments from players about the quality and “performance” of these during an actual $1-$2 game.

Journey of my design:

- the initial Inspiration was from that marvel infinity set design from awhile back ago that looked so sweet from that one pcf user (shoutout)

-listened to the comments, made the colors less busy and focused on the 3 and 4 edge pattern.

-inlay: Loved the idea of actual comic character art on it. But in the end a more subtle “homage” to the X-men 97 animated series personality of the comic characters enticed me more.

- colors: as I mentioned in my first post, I do realize and it does bug me that there are a lot of yellows and blues that would be too melded on a normal colored set… but I wanted to be true to the character colors so o will just have to live with the similarities and it probably would bug me more if the colors were off. But also I was conscious of separating the lower and higher denom blues “far away” (ie, 5 beast + 5000cyclops) as most likely they won’t be gamed on the felt at the same time.

Any other comic nerds want to go in with me on a new DC universe design? (Jk. maybe. “Last chip set for me I promise”- what I tell my wife)
