Mapes are nice, but feh. Trops have more history, shaped inlays, period-appropriate artwork, better spot variation and progression, more denoms and the coup-de-grace: quarterpies!

It's funny, I vote different ways, depending on what question I am answering:

1). Best looking chips: Mapes
2) what chip set do you want, whatever you choose you keep forever, can't ever sell it: Trops.
