Which chips are best from apache? (2 Viewers)

Majestics and royals can be relabeled for sure, not certain about the cards mold. With the added cost of relabeling you may now want to consider semi-custom or full custom ceramics from BRPro. Figure that Majestics will cost you about 49c per chip plus another ~32c for the relabel, and at that price you are right in the semi custom/custom ceramic range.
Although I would be relabeling a handful of chips, possibly either the 25s to 20 or just a different color for the 100s, the 1s, 5s and 10s if included will stay the same, so the cost incurred will not be to great, thanks!

I just ordered a lot of samples from Apache. Yes, Majestic has stickers in a recess that could be peeled and replaced.

Currently awaiting mine, can’t wait to check them out and make a choice.

Relabeling the Majestics, Royals, and the Banks is pretty easy. You can get as fancy if you want with the new labels. @Gear will do a phenomenal job, and they probably already have experience relabeling Royals and Majestics.

I'm a cheap bastard, so I just bought vinyl labels and printed my own. Not fancy, but it worked.

I don’t mind doing it for sure, just want them to print the stickers to match the layout with specific denoms and I can take it from there!

There’s a search function for you ignorant lazy fools. Educate yourself, unless your one that needs a coloring book and directions to figure anything out. Sounds like you fit the bill.
I have no dog in the fight, but to be fair...

You spelled "you're" wrong.  ;)

Ceramics are so much nicer than China Clays if you are trying to customize anyhow.
Especially the hybrids. And this is coming from somebody who has a set of cards molds.

Can't wait for the set of web molds I'm ordering.

This exactly, those web molds are worlds better than the older generation China clays. The fact that they don't smell like a chemical dumpster is reason enough for me, if the OP doesn't know what I am referring to, look up China clay smell. For the price the level of customization on the web mold chips is impressive. For 46c a chip plus $80 label fee you can have full custom chips, so for 500 chips that's about 62c each and for 1000 chips that's 54c each. There is a +60 day lead time but I think it's worth it for what your getting. Here is the link to the samples for the web mold chips and the current group buy. I would get some samples and compare them to the samples you already have, you may be surprised how much better the web molds feel. Also, be sure to click through all the predesigned chip options as well as the catalog of all the blanks you can add custom labels to. Good Luck!

Do you have any photos with custom labels?

Welcome to the forum! Hopefully some of the grumpy members haven't ran you off, and, you'll hang around... mostly a great bunch of folks here that are super happy to help each other out.

As far as the chips go, slow down and order samples. Handle those while you plan your set/sets. The search function works well, you'll usually find what you're looking for there. Many of us have been where you are now...eager to get going and not sure of what we didn't know. By slowing down and doing some research you can save yourself a lot of time and money, and, you'll need that money when you start buying more sets, and then more sets.

There is a ton of information here, probably more like a metric fu@kton, of info on building out sets. I noticed you mentioned using a $10 chip, and, that's mostly a waste of chip money, unless you're going to be using it in a limit set perhaps.

Good luck on your search, and always post pics of what you end up getting...we love pron!

I didn't order any custom chips, I went with the Sands because they look cool, but It is a new mold so there aren't as many pic out there yet of the custom chips. There are a few of the Greek mold. Here is my sample of the sunset beach chips. I also don't want to post pics of other peoples custom chips, but if you poke around you can find some.

These web mold are in my opinion much better than the cards mold chips in just about every way possible.

I ordered a set of these with the 25k chip as my nickel.

Poke around on Broken Arrow's vender page there is a lot of good info on these chips and a lot of questions you may have probably have already been asked and answered, so have some fun and read through those sales threads. Also reach out to Justin, he is great at getting back to you and answering your questions.

You fucking clown. Why are you trying to enable him to do his own research and decide what he likes for himself instead of being led around like a blind sheep?

I swear, this site is full of monsters.

I love it. Mixed set suddenly becomes a custom cohesive one.

If you look at some older group buys, some people post photos when they receive their chips a couple months later.

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/forums/broken-arrow-cardroom-supply.172/

I’m most likely going that route after a couple weeks of reading and trying Apache samples. I’m going to get some Tina samples first before pulling the trigger, but they look great from photos and people are loving them.
Samples seems like a good plan, already ordered Taj, with Royal card and majestics that can be altered for specific denoms, I can mess with samples; a few videos on how to remove the graphics.

Couldn’t agree, just doing my research, samples on the way from Apache;

These sands look sick dude…

Ya to be honest I wasn’t really interested in buying any of these, just curious about the new web mold and all the hype, took a look at the sands and ordered a cash set plus an add on lol. Chip addiction is real so proceed with caution my friend.
You know, I can see a trend here… yikes

Pending my samples ;) Standby Darth….

What a thread!

In any case… I love my royals, they are apaches best chip imo.

Get samples. Don’t blindly go for ceramics because people say they are better. They feel and sound different than the royal CC, you may prefer royals over ceramic… personally I know I prefer the sound and feel of the royals, although I haven’t tested the 43mm hybrid web mold yet, ceramics in general are more high pitched, and they will definitely feel different.

Good to know some people prefer the Royals over Tina’s. I have a lot of the Apache samples and am awaiting Tina samples now. At this point I spend more time learning about chips than I do playing actual poker. Hah!

I know right, appreciate the feedback, glad I found this place, looking forward to getting my samples which include royals, majestic and Taj. They should be coming tomorrow!

This thread has been a... unique read for sure.

Re: Best Apache Chips.

I can't speak for everything they sell, as I have only sampled the 43mm Royal Card Room chips. However, I can say that the Royals are absolutely incredible to play with.

I initially stumbled upon them while searching for an oversized high denomination chip for my weekly tournament home game. I bought 50 of the pink 100,000 chips and they instantly became a huge success with my crowd. Fun to stack, easy to shuffle and they look sharp as well. It wasn't long after picking up the 50 100k chips that I started saving up for a full set of Royals for my monthly cash game. Everyone in my home game agrees that the Royals are the best chips we've ever used and I won't be replacing them any time soon, if ever!

Welcome to the site. Good luck with your search!

Thanks for the input, I literally came to get info on chips as I host a lot of cash games at my house, I want the quality of a casino with a home game feel, it’s been a great find, plus the thread is a great read just waiting on my samples!

I have 1k royals and will be buying 1200 web molds. They are a superior chip IMHO.

Just dont be surprised with the smell. If you pull your chips out a few hours before your game the smell should dissipate.

The smell is no big deal, I setup my table the morning of my game usually, chips are out for 8 hours before the game starts… no smell. Even if I was rushed and setting up as my players arrive I wouldn’t care, its not that bad at all.
