i would 100% go ultrasonic for these...
As somebody who has cleaned thousands of chips by hand before switching to ultrasonic, I can honestly say I'll never go back to hand cleaning again unless it's absolutely necessary

Ultrasonic I have from my other hobby guns. So no issue with that but are you just following the guide step by step with the salad spinner basket and rotating it with TSP in the water?
Wow. I made it to 26 chips before I said "F*** this!" and immediately bought an ultrasonic.
But yeah, ultrasonic FTW.

I just did 300 by hand last weekend while watching some college football.
Is it tedious ? Absolutely.
For what it’s worth, there was also something relaxing about the whole process.

@paulkersey I was cleaning some Paulson's that I picked up and were in need of some TLC.
@seyff45 I was outside on the patio table. Had them soaking in an OxyClean/Dawn solution and was just pulling them out one by one and rubbing them down with a towel. For anything stubborn, I had a toothbrush on hand. Having football on helped pass the time, I couldn't imagine doing it without something to take my mind off the task. A few beers on the side also help !

I'm going to use ultrasonic with TSP, but the basin in my cleaner is square, so I can't use a salad spinner in it.

I used to use a large nail brush similar to these... Early on I found out that Oxy tended to fade my chips, so I got away from that in favor of dawn. Quick soak in warmish water and then went to town until all the hooker juice was gone.

It was only a few months ago I said I would never buy Paulson's and the Chip Room then goes and makes me an offer I can't refuse. He did a great job packing these. And like everyone says, they just feel different than what the other companies produce. If my wife only wore more jewelry I could justify the ultra sonic cleaner. The chips are filthier Jackie Vernon.
Not to brag but the chips are so nice I already have a 3 figure offer to purchase the hooker juice.

I'm in the same boat, didn't think I'd ever buy some Paulson's. I'm very happy with these! I misunderstood what had been said about the inlays. I thought the two whites where variants, instead of front and back. I prefer them this way.
It's been fun sorting through them to find the variants. The $5's must have 6 or 7 different chips! I did notice that they had 21st anniversary chips, while the $1 and $25 had 20th anniversary, and I think I even found a $5 that said 30th anniversary!
Edit: After looking a bit more, the $25 have a 20th and 25th anniversary. Pretty cool!

I bought a 15l one a while back never used it I dont think I should have bought such a big US lol Ive never used it I think I got carpal tunnel from cleaning chips it sucks

Just finished a quick magic eraser and light oiling on one barrel of the 43mm DJ NCV chips. They clean up really nice, definitely brings out the color in them. It’s a lot of fun to shuffle IHCs!!

I’d love to see some barrels stacked side by side to see difference in height between denoms.

Get an electric scrubber. Also rechargeable batteries. I won't scrub by hand again. Cuts the time clean in half, or better. Then I use the magic eraser on stubborn stains. They brighten right up.

Just use the rack and a barrel at a time with some cleaner and a tooth brush (other) after a brief shake (30second or so) to loosen debris then reshake the chips for another 30 second or so and rinse with cold water. I use 38 celcius to 42 celcius for temps with green chips especially requiring only 38celcius. dont go hotter or you will warp your chips. This process works for all but the most disgusting chips, those take about double to effort. I use tap water and dish soap, sometimes mixed with coarse salt sometimes not.
Works well enough.
Got my pompano $5k primary ihc bearclaws. Nice chips!!!! One with a fleabite. Most are very good condition.
