Do you feel like you're playing well and not making any major mistakes? How do you analyze your play after three days?
Looking back there were a few spots I think I should've played differently.
In the PLO8 round where the lady limped in LP and I completed from the SB with KQQ2
When the flop is Q85 I should just pot it right there. She had AA94 if I recall correctly. Instead of going for the checkraise I might've gotten her to just lay that hand down once I bet the flop. Instead she was committed once I checkraised, and then went runner-runner 23 on me to scoop it.
There was another hand in the high-only portion of the game where I raised with something like AQQx suited, the BB who was a solid player defended. The flop was AT3 and we both checked, turn 3, we both checked, river 7 and he bet and I called and he had defended with 9776 and I let him get there because I didn't cbet the flop. But at the time the blinds were pretty high and I was aiming for pot control when I should've probably continued with a bet on the flop. Instead I lost the pot plus a 12k river bet on top of it.
I do feel overall I'm playing well though. The draw games are higher variance and I had 50K when the avg stack was 30k. But then was moved to a table of all strong players and just ran poorly to get pipped by one card against a guy in a big pot and then to have him drawing three OOP against my 2 draw, I make my hand and he makes the nuts on the 2nd draw.
You've gotta run well when the blinds get high, and that just didn't work to my favor last night. I feel like I've been in contention in all the events though and I'm feeling like I'm playing well and in a good state of mind.
Looking forward to the championship event on Saturday!
