Final update: The full set has been sold before the end of Day 1. Thanks to everyone for their interest!

Update! (copied from my latest post)
I think I have a deal in place for the chips, but the buyer is international, and it has taken a while to work out the details via PM with the different time zones. So, I think the set is off the market at this point, but the deal is not finalized 100% yet.

I propose a 12-hour extension of the Day 1 period. I'll post an update in 12 hours, and if the deal falls through somehow, I'll post here and we can begin the Day 2 process of requesting sets of 500 chips or more.

Thanks all for your interest so far! I'm excited that this big set might stay together, although I appreciate all the interest from everybody that would like smaller sets too.

Original post:
I'm selling this big set of 2100 BCC Casino de Isthmus City (CDI) chips to cover another set that I recently purchased. I would describe the chips as very good to excellent condition. They all stand on edge and have square corners. The lower denoms have seen the table more and have slightly more wear, but the hatching on the face of the chips is still prominent. These chips feel and sound great, and the colors really pop! I have cleaned and oiled (edges only) the whole set.

Here is the breakdown of the set:
$1: 500
$5: 500
$25: 400
$100: 300
$500: 250
$1000: 150

I also have 4 CDI dealer buttons from the recent group buy, in unused condition.

Racks are not included. The chips will be packed in Paulson or Warneke chip boxes and then carefully padded and packed into thoroughly taped flat rate boxes for shipping via USPS. This is my first time selling and shipping a set, but I've read all the shipping tips here and will package them well.

Payment via Paypal F&F (or regular Paypal if you want to pay extra to cover the fees). I would prefer to ship these to the USA to avoid hassles with customs forms and international shipping, but I will give consideration to international buyers if they wish to pay extra for the shipping. The chips will be packed and shipped promptly within 1-2 days after payment. Insurance is extra if requested.

My asking price is $1.05/chip, flat rate USPS shipping included. I'd love for the set to stay together, but I'm not sure if anyone is interested in all 2100 chips or not. If not, I'm glad to split up the set, with preference given to larger sets. After deliberating how to divide up so many chips into several playable sets, I decided to follow the procedure below instead. Please PM with your orders/interest so that the thread does not get too chaotic and cause arguments.

Day 1 (from the time of this post until 24 hours later):
I will only accept requests to purchase the full set of 2100 chips and 4 dealer buttons. Price: $2,200 shipped

Day 2 (from 24-48 hours after posting):
I will accept requests for splits with a minimum of 500 chips per set. This will also include 1 dealer button per 500 chips. Let me know what breakdown you would like. Price: $1.05/chip

Day 3 (from 48-72 hours after posting and beyond):
Free for all! Let me know what you need. Minimum quantity of 100 chips please. Price: $1.05/chip

I will update this thread with the remaining available chips after each day. I hope this method works out and allows at least some of the chips to stay together in playable sets before the remainder gets parted out.

And now for the pictures!

Im new - can someone tell me the difference between bcc and paulsons cdi ? Other than the large inlay ?

Millions of thanks

So, is it PMs starting on day 2 exactly have first priority or I could PM now with a day 2 reservation?

Please wait until Day 2 to send PMs for a portion of the set, unless your time zone makes this difficult or you're traveling and need to send it early.

Priority will be given first based on the quantity of chips (I hate to break up such a big set, so I'd like to see it stay together in the biggest chunks possible). Then I'll try to fulfill the next requests in order of quantity, assuming that I have enough chips left to fulfill the request. This will get tricky if someone decides they want 1200 chips and then 3 other people want sets of 500, because I don't have that many chips. We'll see how it goes, and I'll try to keep it as equitable as possible. Thanks!

@ChaosRock - great opportunity for set expansion, just sayin'..... :sneaky:

:D

Thanks for the heads-up Dave. But out of that BCC pr0n thread, the CDI are the only set I no longer own unfortunately... They were replaced by a Limit set of Samurai Non-denom...

Great set and pretty fair price on the OP though...

That's funny, because I'm selling these because I bought BNM's set of Samurai Palace chips, which are one of my favorite designs ever!

"Casino de Isthmus City is a fictional casino that appeared in the James Bond film, "License to Kill".

Paulson produced three versions of the Casino de Isthmus City chips; four if you count the shaped inlay versions of the 1998 set (BCC also later produced a version, so there are actually five different versions of these chips in existence).

The original movie prop chips use the Top Hat & Cane mold, have distinctively different shaped inlays, different edge spot colors and configurations, and are very rare.

The '98 home market version is also on the TH&C mold, share colors/spots with other Paulson home sets of the era, and were produced with both round inlays and shaped inlays on some denominations ($5, $25, $100, $500).

The 2005 home market version was produced after the GPI merger, and use one of the versions of the PAULSON CHIPS mold (they vary by the diameter of the center recess) with round inlays. These chips share colors and edge spots with other GPI-era home market sets.

The BCC version has slightly larger round inlays and was produced on the flame mold, using similar colors to the '98 version (I think, I didn't look it up).

The TH&C and RHC molds were both used for Paulson home sets until the GPI merger, at which time the PAULSON CHIPS mold was introduced (the card pips or suits mold came later)."
