Here is what I was thinking on these if they get split up by denomination. I bought a small lot of Gold Star $1s last year and paid $1.33 per chip. Off -white solids are not exactly in high demand, and the spotted $5s and the gorgeous $25s ought to bring a higher price. I was thinking about $1.50 / $2.50 / $3.50 for the $1s / $5s / $25s. Does that seem resonable? I just paid $350 for another nice, leaded rack of $25s that are no better looking and no more in demand than these.
Reducing those per chip prices down a smidge to make it add up to $2000, I get this:
$1s x 809 - $1195 ($1.477 per chip)
$5s x 146 - $360 ($2.466 per chip)
$25s x 128 - $445 ($3.477 per chip)
Ideally, I'd like to have most of the $1s, a single $5 and about 40 of the $25s for a limit set.
Would anyone be willing to take a small cash set as follows? I'd give up some of the $1s to make this happen.
$1s x 200 = 295.40
$5s x 145 = 357.57
$25s x 85 = 295.55
Total - $948.52 - say rounded to $950. And I would take the rest for $1050. Or if the seller doesn't want to split it up, I'd be willing to receive it all and repackage and reship the cash set for $960.
I also realize that the small number of $5s might make this a hard sell. So as Barrie stated above, if anyone out there has any of them to offer up for the cash set, speak up!
