I was thinking the same thing. I like the white 500 but a purple chip would be nice in there somewhere. To me the blue and the red are the weakest of the set.

The $100 and the $100,000 are righteous. Not loving the $500

The spirit molds have sharp edges. 8v’s, not so much, and Majestics even more bevel.

But a new mold will have to be made to accommodate the 43mm chip size, so it may not be as beveled as the 39mm version.

Yep! Just on a 43mm mold instead of the 39mm mold.

I think the light blue in the 100k to replace the orange on $100 would be fire with the pink.

I think the contrast for the white 500 and black 100 is good idea.

That being said I agree a lavender or pink chip should be in a SHR line up.

I was thinking the same thing. I like the white 500 but a purple chip would be nice in there somewhere. To me the blue and the red are the weakest of the set.

A purple/lavender chip would be more versatile than blue for those wanting to buy blanks and separate labels (stock or otherwise).

But no blue chip means no blue $1 for those wanting one, forcing either white or a non-standard color. It's a trade-off either way with only seven base colors.

For a tourney-only set as-is, I think the spot pattern choices and base colors look fine, although I'd rather see the green chip as 818 or 4V418 than 618 (which seems weak compared to the rest of the lineup).

I like most of the chips individually, but don’t feel like they flow well as a set. Not really any progression. I like the idea of a cash set with a nickel option as well

What about on the 100 alternating the spots. I find with this spot specifically it looks best evening out the color like "pink, orange, pink" then "orange, pink, orange" and back again.

And changing the pink spots on the 25 to dark green, lighter green or purple. Having the same pink in neighboring chips would tilt me.

Did you use freehand draw for the spots?

For which? My own, not exactly. Everything starts out with crisp shapes. After everything is plotted the spots are individually shaped by hand using various tools in illustrator.
