I am trying to find some 43mm racks that I can store my oversized Cleveland Horseshoes in. I need them to fit in a standard size 1,000 chip birdcage. I know the Matsui 43mm racks should do that, but I have reached to them several times and they never seem to have any available. Matsui did offer to sell me some generic 43mm racks (i.e. the ones without the covers), but I was hoping to confirm if they would fit before moving forward. Also, I would like to use both 39mm racks and 43mm racks in the same birdcage. Is that possible, or will the racks not stack well together (and if so, would I be better off going with all 43mm racks, even though the 39mm chips may slide around a bit)?

If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions regarding the 43mm racks, I would really appreciate it. Thx.

Email Joe @ Palm Gaming and ask for the 43mm chipco racks, should be about $4/each + shipping. Fits 43mm Paulson chips perfect

Have not found any 43mm racks however that will fit inside a normal birdcage

Good afternoon!

At this moment we don’t have any in stock.

We might be able to have some by the end of the year as we unload some of our gaming chips.

Thank you,

Roxana

Thanks for the offer, but I probably need more than 1 or 2 (was looking for 10 myself) and I wouldn't want to take any of yours, as I sounds like you have plans for them. Congrats on finding them, they seem to be like gold these days.

There has been some discussion in this thread about 43mm racks with links to some that are available.

There is also some pics of the Matsui racks that fit in some birdcages along with some more discussion of 43mm racks in this thread.

Thanks for the info. I will check them out. I have done some searching on here, but haven't seemed to come across anything but the Matsui that will fit inside a standard birdcage. Appreciate the info.

Thanks. I need them to fit in a birdcage though. That seems to be the factor that is making this difficult. I know there are racks out there that will fit 43mm fine, but other than the Matsui (which aren't available), I haven't seen anything that will fit 43mm and fit in a birdcage.

Building a custom birdcage is always a possibility.

Thank you,

Roxana

I have reached out to her a few times myself over the past 6 months or so. No stock on hand each time. Glad you were able to get hold of some though.

I have checked with them as well. I believe if you place a large chip order they will have some stock on hand for those. They just don't have any they want to sell a la carte.

Quick update - I confirmed with Roxana at Matsui that the generic 43mm racks they sell will not fit in a standard birdcage. So, as best as I can tell, the only 43mm racks that will fit are the actual Matsui's, which seem very difficult to obtain.

I went to Game on Chip Company and got the 44mm racks from them. I did have to modify the ends to get them to fit in the 1000 bird cage, as @Shaggy said...
I will try to get photos up tonight.

Thank you, that would be appreciated. How significant would you say the mod was? Also, would a 39mm chip be sliding all in that rack?

The issue of finding the right 43mm rack is coming up a lot lately, due to all the new GBs as well as the popularity of the larger chips in custom orders and even casino chips. I hope someone who has a large collection of different types of chips (Paulsons, Boardwalks, ceramics, or any other 43mm chip) does a comprehensive review of various racks, options, prices, etc. and maybe even @Apache or someone else decides to do a GB for custom-made racks?

Sorry it took so long. here are picks of the chips in the racks I modified:

I did one on Abbiati racks.

In case anyone was interested, I just ordered 10 x 43mm racks (10 is the minimum) from PGI and they ran $4 each, but had free U.S. shipping. This may not be indicative of your experience, but the few times I emailed PGI and asked for a special deal, they eventually (after days of waiting for responses) lowered the price of the racks, but added shipping costs. Viewed another way, figure that a MFRB is roughly $14, so it came out to $26 for 10 racks, or $2.60 each + shipping, which is a decent deal.

Therefore, my recommendation is to skip the emails (and waiting) and just order off their site. If you are paying extra, it's likely negligible and not worth the hassle.

Can you post pics of these racks

I did the exact same thing. Ordered last week and they are supposed to arrive today

The pic on the PGI website shows their "Palm Gaming" stamped rack (center barrel) as opposed to their "Chipco" stamped rack in the second barrel. Due to the center barrel stamping, they could be rockers, but I'm not too concerned.

Their website pic is below, but I'll add my own once they arrive (just ordered about 30 minutes ago)

Do these fit in standard BirdCages?

Just following up from last week. Got my ten 43mm racks in from PGI. Good build quality - appears to be casino grade in my opinion.

Interestingly, they have the 4 suits in each barrel, which I've never seen before, as I was expecting either a Palm Gaming or Chipco rack. Since the design is under every barrel, I'm figuring that rocking would be limited.

Overall, definitely worth it in my opinion. It was $42 including taxes with a MFRB. Excluding the $13-$14 for shipping, it would be about $2.80-$2.90/rack, which is a nice price.
