They are great for the price! ASM's feel more smooth....the edges are softer....but they will both play great. TBH, I have played with them very little, since I have a well thought out set of ceramics for NLHE and tournies....and because so few people actually give a shit about nice chips. The trick to mixing them is that they are slightly larger, so mixing them with other brands you have to know they won't be side by side in a barrel.

Thanks! I joined up to see if I could add to my originals....I bought 300 blues years ago. I want another 300, but I might just buy up 600 browns since they are so cheap and use the blues as $10 chips. Also, that frees up my 2 racks of ASM's to offload to someone that will use them. You dig those browns you got??? I'll be buying as the workhorse in a limit game.

Honestly the browns are frickin awesome! Go for it.

I was bummed that I waited too long and missed out on the reds, but the browns do look great, and I paired them with my blue 1's for a Cali set. They remind me of the Garden City 5's.

Not exactly related, but I figured I'd throw this back into this thread.

After having the Dunes and Pharaohs, I thought I'd not have another set of CC's. I just didn't love the feel, plastic-ness, or shine of them. Much too much like a 'Walmart' product for me.

Then this 8v sale came, and I had the chance to get a semi-custom set for my teenage kid who was getting into the game, I figured I'd try them out. He didn't need a super expensive set anyways. He will lose chips, break some, be an irresponsible teen... So, I got these expecting them to be along the lines of all of the other CC's, but for the price, and price of the labels, I figured it would be worth a shot. I could get him a cash set, and tourney set to play with his friends.

Now, I send him with an even cheaper coin inlay set to play with his friends..and I keep close tabs on these... They've all but become mine because I like them so much. They don't play like any of the other CC's, and even better than some of the cheap tourney chips that some casinos have. I'm extremely grateful that Gene gave a lot of people the opportunity to jump on these. I'll post a new lineup of pics somewhere in the near future.

I have made the decision to buy 600 to 1000 of the brownies....in memorium to my dad (RIP RIP) who was a lifelong Browns fan (also RIP), and would time to time let me play in the big people's game where I learned that my family sucks at poker. This would give me the brownie workhorse non-denoms along with 300 of the blues that I already have for rebuys. For a 2/4 limit game, that would be brown $1's and probably blue $10's. Now I need to hit that 10 post count to raise the funds so I can truly tell my wife that I traded, not paid for these chips.

Yeah those look like them actually. Mold looks the same. There are "fakes" though with a slightly different mold I believe
