One day at the casino someone looked me dead in the eye and told me clubs are the HARDEST flushes to hit because they use more ink and thus settle to the bottom of the deck while shuffling. Truly an outstanding degenerate. He should get an award. A Degenny.
Does he not realize they cut the bottom to the middle before dealing and the original bottom (new upper middle) is pretty close to where the flop turn river is coming from?

I don't really like flips. As @Highli99 said in another thread, I'll do flips after a session to be a good sport, but only if I'm ahead. And for me that means ahead by a decent bit. I'm throwing away all my hard-fought winnings because some gambling fool wants to catch up. There are plenty of ways to gamble - roulette, lottery, sports betting - I don't play poker to gamble; I play poker because I enjoy poker. And if other people want to do flips, have fun! But I don't care for them.
And I really don't understand big flips. If we're playing poker for $100 buyins and the table wants to do a $10 flip, sure, I understand that. But the guys who want to toss hundreds in - the amount of a full buy-in? That just goes right over my head.
I agree shouldnt be allowed

My wife thinks a group of degens is a meet up!! Lol
She's not wrong!

We've been ending our home games with hands of baseball flips. Sometimes we match the low stack if they are really low, but most of the time it's for $50. It's really fun until your quads loses to a straight flush. I'm 1-4 so far.

Can someone explain to me what this is?
Everyone who wants to play throws X amount of money in the middle - let's say $50/person. If 6 go in the pot is $300. Whatever game is chosen (could be 5 or 7 card stud or Omaha - anything) there is no betting. Cards are dealt and the best hand wins the pot. Call it flips or showdown it's the same thing.

I call it exciting. The last year at Degen in Dallas we ended the last night doing $20 flips for about 30 minutes or more.
