I am checking to see if there is enough interest to do some sort of group buy on the casino chairs to get the freight cost down.

I would not be taking the money. We would pay for our orders direct with the chair company.

I got a quote for $1300 for 10 chairs delivered. I am trying to improve on that.
there is no reshipping. we would place individual orders. I am trying to improve price based on volume.

Though actually it's hard for me to see if they are going to be that motivated to do a huge quantity discount. Even if you get say 500 chairs from a group buy, if they still have to ship to 25 different addresses, it's not a huge savings for them.

Did they give you any indication of what quantity would be a price break?

I had at one time discussed a group buy with others in Texas. It's in one of those threads. Unfortunately the build for my poker room has been delayed, and will not be ready until next year. At that time, I would have the space to accept a large delivery for anyone who would be willing to pick up from my in NE Houston home.

There is no reshipping, but it doesn't look like the supplier is interested in giving a discount on a volume of orders.

There are a lot of vendors selling similiar chair. The one I like is a little more expensive, but has good review and PCF folks have had good experiences. He is not interested in further discounting for a group buy. Yes of course they are shipping direct to the end user. I am not reshipping. Looks like I am just going to place my order with Gavin. I don't trust the other sellers with lower prices, but have bad reviews.

yes, I ordered 10 and he never said anything about a minimum. Mention that you saw the thread on PCF please.
