I'd worry that someone tossing that hunk of metal on cards would leave marks. I know it has no sharp edges but I'm sure I could've made a mark if I really wanted to.

By the way, if these are the ones I’ve seen before, they carve their company advertising info into the back of each $60 unit.
I’ve handled a friends years ago, like ‘18, and I didn’t think it would scratch a card any more than a mint chip would.
