I guess someone had previously offered him that and he’s ready to call them back since he has the chips in hand.
He’s full of hot air. He’s given me a bunch of deadlines yet as recently as Saturday came back and said “let’s get a deal done”.I can go back tomorrow, but he gave me a hard deadline to show up tomorrow with 14k cash or no deal.
This guy is being an ass hat again. I asked if I could go back tomorrow to inspect them and get an accurate count and he responds

I think I reached that point that everyone else reached with him.

100% this. Hell I’d maybe go even lower with the way he’s acting with potential buyers.I’m down to gamble if it’s a low price. This is legit the oldest trick in the used car salesmen playbook. Call his bluff - tell him $12k or nothing and then say nothing else. First to talk looses. Guaranteed that he calls in a day or two.
$1=155
$5=390
$25=399
$100=133
$500=33
1110 chips
Because he has so many others waiting in line...I can go back tomorrow, but he gave me a hard deadline to show up tomorrow with 14k cash or no deal.
Thanks for trying, maybe he will call you back to look and take picturesI’m more concerned with the condition of the chips. I want to make sure they’re in good condition and want an accurate count, especially the roulettes.
This is exactly the kind of situation where a group buy can use leverage to everyone’s advantage. It definitely looks like the barrage of PCFers contacting him is giving him the sense there is a vast demand from a market of excited active buyers. If everyone stayed calm and grouped up then everyone would be able to get cheap sets out of this. Everyone contacting him trying to do a better job are really just being counterproductive unless they are really going to pull the trigger on the full lot for themselves. But now everyone is going to have to stop contacting him and wait it out to let his hopes die out and then just have a single person go in and play hardball on a group buy.
Per his eBay ad:So could we intuit the entire breakdown based on this? I bet he just divided what he had by 15 to get this set. If that's true, then rough breakdown could be:
$1 - 2300
$5 - 6000
$25 - 6000
$100 - 2000
$500 - 500
16,800 chips
So let's elect one person to do the negotiating...needs to be someone closeThis is exactly the kind of situation where a group buy can use leverage to everyone’s advantage. I’m like 5 miles away from him and started talking with him yesterday. But I’m already fed up with his antics. I have another person who is in on the group buy that is also local. I might hand it off to him. In the meantime, it would be extremely helpful if people not contact him and blow his head up any bigger. So let's elect one person to do the negotiating...needs to be someone close
