This was a set that I swore I would never sell, and I can't remember the last time I have seen these up for sale in bulk. I purchased these chips 3 years ago, and I have put them in play exactly once. The previous owner owned them for several years without ever putting them in play. They may actually be cursed by their beauty. The edges are all still razor sharp, and unless you are a stickler over the definition of Mint, I think you will be hard pressed to find these in better condition.

Breakdown:

$5 x 20
$25 x 400
$100 x 300
$500 x 160
$1000 x 100
$5000 x 100
$25000 x 20
Deadwood Bounty Chips x 40

Auction rules: This will be a blind bid auction. Please submit your bids via PM. Minimum bid must be $2860 (my cost), and incremental bids must be in multiples of $5. Auction will close at 10PM EST on Sunday January 31. I have no issue if you want to post your bid publicly in the thread, but am making it blind in case you do not want to share that information. If multiple parties share the winning bid, each of them will have the opportunity to increase their bids. I will conclude the auction via PM and will disclose publicly whatever information the winner will allow. Shipping will be at the expense of the winner. I will use whatever method and options you choose, but you will be responsible for the charges. I am willing to ship abroad, but the same rules apply, and I take no responsibility for the packages once they leave the US.

I will accept payment via Paypal FF or buyer is responsible for fees. If you would prefer to pay via a different method, please reach out to me privately before placing your bid. I have included a couple of pics from my phone, but if you want others please send your email address. Good Luck, and don't hesitate to ask any questions.

GLWS, Fantastic chips !

Wish we could see some pics of those beauties, we know you have great photo skills :)

Does your use of the term "incremental bid" mean that you are going to disclose the ongoing top bid amount, even though you're not going to identify the bidder without permission?

No, I just meant to bid in multiples of $5, for example, $2865 not $2861.01

Can I give you everything in my bank account? If my bank account is negative will that mean you pay me? ;)

Beautiful chips glws

Ah, OK. So it's not an auction, then. It's best offer by the deadline, unless you choose to accept someone's offer sooner. I get it.

I guess, though I thought this was also called a blind auction. I am not planning to end the auction sooner than the deadline, and Im not trying to get people to increase their bid by publicizing the current price. they may not sell at all.

If we bid, will we at least know if our bid is good and when we've been outbid? I am guessing the answer is "no", and definitely "no" when the deadline is imminent . Seems more like a best offer to me as well. Love the chips and would pay a number for them that would probably shock you, but I despise these types of sales. I would rather see a large asking price with the "or best offer" attached. GLWS Awesome chips!!

Interesting...I think the previous owner said the same. Probably my #1 'If I could turn back time..." set, and the breakdown is great (all the way to inclusion of the 20x 'bounty 5 chips).

GL, Scott. Whoever gets them will certainly enjoy them, although it will likely come with a hefty price tag.

Love all of the color combos in this set. Can't believe you only put them into play once!! GLWS

I hear where you are coming from. Maybe I outthought myself but figured Rather be than throw a super high price out there, and then negotiate with a bunch of different parties, I would tell everyone my bottom price, and let people choose if they wanted to go higher. It is a best offer situation, but I'm trying to be true to the person who really does make the best offer, as opposed to stringing them along

For years, all I wanted was an inlaid TRK tournament set. unfortunately I was able to buy them right at the time we started playing cash instead of Tournies. Hopefully the next owner will break the trend...

there are a few sites that help facilitate silent auctions (not blind, but I think it can be made anonymous) like this. It could give better feedback to interested parties.

Agree, don't do it! A much better idea would be to just have a regular auction, so people know where the bidding stands! You'll probably get a higher price this way too (no guarantee, but chances are...). If someone wants to be an anonymous bidder for some reason, they could PM you and you could post their bid as an anonymous bid (this is weird, but OK).

You can run your "auction" however you want. But I think this format is a big enough turn off that some people won't participate when they otherwise would (just a guess).

On a lighter note, these are very cool chips, beautiful in fact. GLWA

Seems like if you have in-demand chips these days, there's no possible way to sell them (at any price) without somebody getting miffed about it. That's unfortunate.

GLWS Scott. Awesome chips and I considered it fairly heavily, and if I weren't so far along with a big CPC tournament set you'd have my money (again.) :)

Yeah, agree. I don't actually care how they're sold...I can't buy any new chips right now that don't fit into my current sets, so I have no horse in this particular race (as badly as I would love to have some of these). I am just curious as to the advantage of any auction format outside of the traditional?

No need to answer. I don't want to spark a big debate because I sincerely don't care :)

Hopefully you are being flooded with offers, deserving of these awesome TRKs. These sure don't come up for sale very often.
