Are the words and ring on the chip printed, or actual impressions?

The chip face is smooth and dye-sublimation printed, with a center recess containing a laminated label (the white ring is part of the label). No mold impressions on hybrids, including these.

My bad, it looks like a mold but yes, it is smooth after checking.
