'Bondesque' set without breaking the bank (3 Viewers)

I know it looks good on camera but that's way too many chips, especially when the T5k and T25k are going to get coloured up.
Looking good on camera is what these chips are all about .

Although I'm quite satisfied with following your lead and taking the mildly insane route of a barrel of fracs for each player.

Sketch idea: Bond gets dosed with hallucinogens instead of poison

Look what I found for 25 dollars shipping included.
I have to admit that quality control is a pretty disappointing if you consider that those are original Cartamundi chips.
I tried to refine the edges and polish a couple of those chips... The final result is waaaaay better.

Original Cartamundi were made in China (in fact, when still unopened, the cellophane has a sticker saying so). Very bad quality, with edge spots falling off and so...

Wow, excellent find! What a steal for $25!

What's your polishing process like? My chips are pretty rough like that as well.

I am using this. To avoid damaging the chip you need to use the slower gear, and barely touch the surface. Applying pressure or using high speed makes disasters (like permanently dragging one color over the other). Use the rotating movement 90° to the flashing (see photo) and slide up and down. Then try 45°. If it still doesn't go away, try to change rotation to the other direction (again: it isn't about pressure, it's about the sponge barely touching and 'finding' the right angle/position/rotating direction removing excess material).

If the plastic flashing is over-imposed over another color like this

Use a cutter to peel the green away, like 'getting away from the blue' motion. Do that on an outward direction (peel the right side to the right, and the left side to the left), like you were peeling an apple (and again: use no force, stay on the surface by impressing zero weight to your hand).
The trick us using a 'dead hand'.

Wow, that's intense! I will have to practice on something else first.

For the plaques it looks like we'll have to stand on the shoulders of giants... Or else it's time to fire up Illustrator.

Thanks for taking the time to break it down for me.

The Corrado sets were tempting but I found out it was actually cheaper for me to get the Apache chips if I wanted more than 300.

It's the plaques that separate the wealthy from the poor! $10 a piece, wow!

You have to be a high roller for real to get this many plaques on the table...

As for the cards, I have two DVD box sets coming in from eBay soon... Is your sealed pack made in Belgium? I would be interested but my budget is limited on that when I'm several decks in already.

Can you please DM me the aliexpress shop? It would make the process of customizing the size smoother with their prior experience. That mat looks good, how's it working out so far?
You should definitely check out work by @rjdev7 and where I am planning to get my topper from in new year. https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/made-to-order-custom-table-toppers.96993/
