Ok @timinater has been kind enough to make me these custom chips. Yes we are using all green shades. These are just proofs but I’m excited and wanted to show them early. Each denomination will be a different medical cannabis strain, and shade of green. I will use these mostly at our annual “pound buy in” tourney which sometimes in the past has drawn over 100 entries here in beautiful Nor Cal. This is open discussion and my first custom chip label so If you guys see anything I’m missing please speak up. I’m always looking to improve and ok with criticism and excitement but please save the “bad plant” and “it’s not medicine nonsense” some old thinkers might have. We are all well past all that nonsense here in 2021. Thank you for the feedback and I hope you enjoy!

Sounds like it would be a fun tourney to be in!!!

I like the concept and to me it seems like the chips you selected are different enough that there shouldn't be too many issues with dirty stacks. I think the big denoms on the inlay and different colour of inlay could help differentiate the chips as well.

Good luck and look forward to seeing the finished product.

It been a year finding these and I’d love to add more chips. Blueberry is deff in thats been a HUGE topic here although we are leaning the super haze cross as it was such a staple here for many many many years. “Blue dream”. I can’t tell you how fun this will be to play with. I do need more chips. Hard living in the classifieds these days. Shooters everywhere. I need More bubblegum (u can see them up top) for sure! Lol We’re using the mini 37 cinn WSOP greens for “Mexi brick weed” quarters Lol they won’t see play but the IG will will get lots of likes.
 
That's such a killer idea for a set. Ridiculously unique, and I absolutely love it. I think the shades of green and edge spots are different enough that people won't get confused.

My only suggestion would be to perhaps match the color of the denomination to the edge spots. Just one more thing to distinguish chip from chip.

But seriously, love this idea and can't wait to see the finished 'product' :)
 
So I played in my brother in law's game once. Big time burners in that game and it was getting passed around from before the first card hit the felt. It was a STT, maybe T5000 or similar. At some point, I was kinda short stacked and figured I would count my chips to figure out my "M" because I wanted to know when I needed to shove. So, I was like; 8 $25's, that's $200, plus 7 $100's, that's $700+$200 is $900; plus 5 $500's, that's $2500 plus the $900 equals .........um like $3000....wait....Ok $2500, plus....how many blacks again.......OK hang on.....OK shit. Alright (opening eyes wider this time): 8 $25's = $200, check. 7 $100's = $700....that's $900......etc etc. I could not count.
Plus these were all dice chips and they used weird colors like $25's were white, $100's were green, $500's were blue or something. It was all really confusing.

Anyway, your concept sounds like big fun and I look forward to seeing the finished product:)

I’m thinking shrooms paired with joint will probably add colorful hallucinations that’ll help differentiate each chip. Any volunteers?
 
I'm the guy who's always criticizing people for being too paranoid about dirty stacks, but you're on your own with this one. I don't think I'd like to play this set, stoned or not.
Good plant though.
 
could the colour of the label / chip reflect the strain name instead?

not to state the obvious but that set is going to be a nightmare to play with especially with a bunch of stoners.

Im definitely curious to see how it all turns out if you stick with the intial plan.
 
Tks for all the tips everyone! This was just the first proof and I almost didn’t show it But timonator gave the green light lol and there is always lots of great ideas here so we knew to share early tyvm!!! For sure we plan on changing the inlays and color edges but I will also pass along the matching color of the denominations, brilliant idea and Tks again for all the love and support. It’s been fun putting this together!!!
