Cards Mold/"Tina" Alibaba Ceramics Master Consolidated Info Thread (3 Viewers)

Ohhh amazing, I will contact one of the designers that sounds like a much more realistic for my skill level haha.

Can I just confirm, once you have completed the design do you buy direct through AliExpress or do you email Tina direct?

Cheers for all the help mate.
I don't believe the chips are available on Aliexpress. Did you see them there? Just curious.

I would email her directly and tell her you are with PCF. We have done a huge amount of business with them. Don't know if it will get you special treatment, but it can't hurt.

I have a question.
What is a ballpark on the cost of someone doing a design for you? I’m sure different people charge different amounts, but just looking for a rough idea what it may cost.
Say a cash and tournament set, say 5 or 6 chips in each?
Thanks
Memphis

When I was doing chips design work, I used to let the person decides how much they want to pay based on what they can afflord (the budget they have to spend on their project) and based on how happy they are with the end result.

Design work is not my primary occupation and did that just for fun.

So my answer won't probably help you at all ahah.

The fees for design can vary quite a bit depending on what you want on the chip. It’s generally based on the amount of time required. If you want something similar to a design that has already been done, that will cost less than a set that requires a new logo, new chip colors/spots, etc.
Time is money.

MrRossKeys, I tried to send you a private message but I'm a new member. I wanted to do an order with Tina (I had a friend get me onto this forum) I am finding it difficult to know where to start with making the custom design. I have checked out the Chip designer program on this sight but it seems focused on Paulson. Any guidance and help would be great. My mate order some chips through Tina but not custom. I am hoping to get my Poker rooms name put on them with a few other little details. Cheers
Hey there. I've been MIA for a bit. Looks like you got timely responses from the crew here....

Let me know if I can help. I am an amateur designer who loves mocking up chips in my spare time... I can answer questions or send you mockups... and of course everyone they shared is going to do a great job if you've gotten into contact with any of the designers. Thanks.

Is it required to submit a “reverse design” for the other side of the chip so the edge spot colors line up or does Tina do this automatically?

Also, is ordering from her a smooth process? Has anyone had any serious issues?

Tina and her crew will reverse the edgespots as needed so they match up. You will only need to provide art for one side.
I highly recommend ordering customs through a group buy. Not only will you save some $, but the folks that run these group buys have dealt with Tina before and have all the info and knowledge how to make the process run very smoothly.

Can you order any mold in the group buys or is it limited to whatever the group is getting?

Anyone have an ai file for this spot pattern? I found the file for the face, but it doesn’t have the edge that lines up

When was the “No Cash Value” language first removed from that denom?

When I ran the first big group buy for these the $20 and the $100 were the highest cash chips and there was also a T25 & T100 NCV chip. Everything else higher was NCV. But pretty soon thereafter people were asking for higher cash denoms. I think Tina's people did the first artwork change, but eventually someone here asked for them and J5 did cash chip artwork all the way up to $100,000.

2022? The first mention I have seen of live cash designs “no longer” being offered is in 2023.

Honestly, I’m just shocked it took so long to happen. It’s honestly a low risk high reward scheme. You could prolly cycle through $10k+ of chips if you went to a bunch of casinos and did a $500 or $1k chips and then left. You would prolly have higher success grifting tourists and selling them $100 chips for $50 lol

Low risk though, really? Seems like it could end up with some serious penalties if you're caught trying to get one by. Maybe I'm clueless, always leave that door open lol, but I don't think I'd risk that for $500.

You're 100% right about the tourist hustle, that would be the grind. Hang outside an airport and say you had to fly out unexpectedly, buy this $100 chip for $50 or I'll miss my flight lol. Similar risk though.

I meant low risk in the sense that it is probably not super hard to cash it without getting caught. You could just wear a mask, change your eye collar with contacts, a bald cap, wig, and backpack with a change of clothes. Hop into a 2/5 game where you'll be able to get $100's and it won't raise suspicion. When you're done playing put 1-2 $100 chips in the middle of the barrel of $100's that way when they rack check it they won't notice the fake. You'll wanna put it 7-9th or 11-13th in the barrel so that the cage employee won't catch it when they rack check nor will they catch it when they go to break the stack down for the camera. Then hit the cage and cash them out. If you're super sketched out then you can change as well. It's gotta be much more difficult to do it with $500+ because very few people will be cashing a barrel of $500 without raising some red flags. At the end of the day if you can purport yourself to be a high value client the casinos will give you more leeway on that, but a $10k washout is gonna raise some flags. I imagine for $500+ chips it would require a team effort with a player acting as the big player or something. The tourist hustle is the real game and the risk on that is infinitely lower. Since it's not illegal to own or sell the chips I'm not sure how LEO would be able to arrest you unless you sold one to a narc. If a tourist called the cops I'd just deny until I die lol

How many extra chips did yall buy to account for edge misalignment, blurry prints, etc?

I bought ~15 extra of each denom for samples and to replace duff chips but out of ~1000 chips I had one broken in the post and just one with misaligned edges. I'm really impressed with the edge alignment - didn't expect it to as good as it is.

I do have a few spinners but they don't bother me that much.

edit: ... and no blurry ones.
