Cards Mold/"Tina" Alibaba Ceramics Master Consolidated Info Thread (22 Viewers)

I've been told the new Tina chips don't have spinners anymore. Can someone else confirm this?
I saw some reports about the chips loosing their texture and becoming slicker quite early too.

I don't know if it's isolated or not though.

Yeah, maybe to help per comments above - here's some cross-section examples.

No Mold/Cards mold (non-hybrids) had a larger spinner problem because any large surface imperfections, debris, etc.. would effectively make them act like a top, because the entire surface is flat.

Hybrids have a recess for the inlay, which won't allow those same issues.. unless the sticker is misplaced or has larger debris in/under the sticker or sticker laminate. Frankly spinners on Hybrids are such an exception that there really should be 0 concern and can likely even be corrected.

Hi, i'm new to all of this and learning about custom poker chips. Can you help me understand what a "spinner" is when talking about poker chips?
A spinner means that you can literally spin a chip while stacked on top of another chip. This happens when the middle part of the chip has a higher profile than the outer face of the chip. So the chip spins like a top.

Ah, okay. That makes sense. Thanks for educating me. So, when it comes to poker chips, spinners are something we want to avoid and is a sign of poor quality. Got it!

And from my reading, the Tina chips have a very low spinner rate?

I think any mold has a low spinner rate, but cards mold is probably a bit higher than the rest.

Cards mold and no-mold will be notorious for having spinners.

I haven't experienced any with the hybrid ceramics of any mold.
Thanks for the info! Which vendor(s) make the hybrid ceramics? I'm currently looking at getting into the April group buy but it's all a bit overwhelming. I want to make an informed purchase.
