Im raising 88 here. Probably around 1200 seems fine. 88 seven handed on the flop isnt going to play well unless you hit amazingly. I prefer to take the position and aggression/range advantages blah blah blah

as played folding is the way to go. You could make an argument for 3betting but prefer fold.

Had it folded around to hero after the BB raise then I would call. But with the in between caller I am folding.

Bit late to the party but anyways:

Pre I could go either way about limping along or raising. Considering that people seem to like to limp/call here, I’d probably lean towards limping.

Then bb raises big and gets one caller. I don’t think you have to worry about sb doing anything but call or fold since he just completed looking to play a family pot. I understand calling with the 8s is tempting but we need a pretty big return on our investment when we do hit a set to make it worth while.

I would like to have some sort of read on bb and what this sqeeze means. If he’s capable of doing this without a premium hand to try and pick up the pot, we’re not that likely to get to play a big pot. I think folding is perfectly reasonable here.

Shoving is not a good option imo. It’s really hard to give you credit for any kind of really big hand after you just limped along with 4 others. As bb I would give you AQ/66-TT at the most and play accordingly.

To limp in or not limp in. That is the question. Limp in because at the sight of a 9 or higher , your gonna wish you did limp in. If you raised it, now you're almost obligated to raise on the flop otherwise you're open to someone else trying to represent the board. So, you raise end up getting higher cards on turn to no avail. Now, you're in a deeper hole end up taking it in the glory hole. Trust me its not fun.

I’d have raised when it came round to me on the button. But if I had limped like the OP I’d probably have folded to the BB worried that he had a higher pair or at worst two over cards and I’m looking at 50/50 odds.

Anyway hindsight is a wonderful thing... should have jammed bro
