Update: A year after making the final table in the RunGood Main Event,
she did that thing last night/early morning by winning the whole thing!
Hail to the champion!
Some background on her tourney journey and I'm going to brag about my poker BFF. She caught the bug when
a group of my home game regs went to Council Bluffs in the summer of 2021 to play the RunGood series (we even met up with
@bsdunbar1, who treated us to breakfast). Back then, she and I were more NLHE cash specialists and we went just to pick off the players who just busted and were on tilt at the cash tables. But she caught the tourney bug and dedicated herself to studying tourney style, which I'm sure most of us will agree is so different from cash, before she took on major tournament play in September 2022.
The results speak for itself: Since she started playing tournaments seriously over that span, she has cashed in 24 majors (WSOP, WSOP-C, RunGood, etc.), including making seven final tables. Just an incredible run in a span of 20 months.
Now, she's a RG gold ring champion. Keep an eye on her. I've said it multiple times to my home game crew, the local KC casino regs who know her and anyone who will listen - she is hands down the best poker player I personally know and she will be the first WSOP bracelet winner from my game.
