Cash Game Chips needed for 1/2 game (1 Viewer)

Usually play either .25/.50 or .50/1 but some of the guys want to play a 1/2 game and I am not sure my set can handle it.

My current breakdown

.25-160
1- 320
5- 220
25-40
100-10

I am thinking to handle this type of game I would at least need another rack of redbirds. What are your guys thoughts?

seems like an ok bank to start out with. If you're group is used to playing 25/50...

I'd prefer to have 300+ $5s, yes. But I wouldn't feel comfortable running a 1/2 game with a bank of less than $5K.

In a pinch, the game can let $100 bills play. Not optimal, but playable.

I prefer cash for 100s myself. For some reason, it feels like I'm crushing the game more when people buy in from me and I have their cash sitting behind my stacks than when I add a tiny little black chip on top.

But, that said. Yeah, I'd want more 5s for sure. And more 1s. I like to have 600+ of each in play. I prefer larger quantities of smaller denom chips than lots of 25s and 100s in play.

4K for $1/2 will be fine

It wont play twice as big as $0.5/1

However if you feel like the bank is too small and have a casino close by you could rent some $100 chips just in case

The bank you have should be totally fine for a single game with a bunch of guys who usually play smaller (guys who usually play $.25/$.50 are NOT going to be tossing around $300 rebuys left and right.) A rack (or 2) more $5s would be optimal, but you'll get by.

If you're going to do it on anything close to a regular basis, get 2 more racks of $5s (and a few more $25s) for sure.

On closer inspection, looks like $4,400 bank. You should be fine, but as others have said, getting some more $5's will help as your game and comfort with 1/2 expands.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. My chips are just the Pharaohs CC, so i was thinking of getting 60 more 25's to fill the rack and then 180 redbirds to fill that rack. That would give me

1-320
5-400
25-100
100-10

I ordered the ones I have from Apache, but shipping sucks from Vegas to Ohio, anyone have a promo code or does that not exist?
