OK, as long as everyone is revealing their inner Scrooges, in general, my bottom ten of chips I don't like:
1. TRKs (with a possible exception for orange Mapes $5s).
2. Any casino chips not bearing a location (e.g., Empresses).
3. Any tri-moon chips besides Treasure $1s and ES 20s/25s.
4. Any brown or tan chips.
5. Any BCC chips, after being ripped off by them on GCRs.
6. NPS chips lower than 25 denom.
7. WTHC chips higher than $100.
8. Hot stamps.
9. Any chips reading "Capital Room" instead of "Capitol Room".
10. Ritz, Palais des Congres, CDIs, Milanos, SPMs, Avalons, or any chips bearing skulls or skeletons that weren't made by the Zombies.
11 (bonus!). Any chips from casinos in Ohio.
This is how I keep my chip numbers under control...:

I would be happy to help with #5 by taking those horrible Blue Ridge BCC's off your hands:

I see why some would have an issue though... got enough red, yellow, and white spots???
Your like list might have saved you some typing!Hate is a pretty strong word, but I'm not very fond of any of these:
Not saying that none of those can't occasionally be cool sets, but I really don't want to own (or play with) any of 'em.
- any chips with artwork featuring skulls, skeletons, cowboys, cartoons, or actual photographs
- any clay chips with super-grand or giant inlays
- chips made on these Burt/ASM/CPC molds: hourglass, H-mold, Roman, die-card, plain-mold
- chips made on BCC's flame and sun molds
- chips made on GPI's RHC and roulette molds
- chips made on TRK's large crown mold
- 39mm hybrids & 43mm large-recess hybrids
- most ceramics (a number of notable exceptions, however)
- pretty much every china clay chip ever made
- any slugged plastic chip, including high-end versions
- pretty much any plastic/ABS chip, including interlocking 4g plastics
This one surprises me a little bit. Is it just the aesthetic or is it performance-based?H-mold
Both, to varying degrees. It works very well visually for old-school and certain themed sets, but the actual mold design itself leaves a lot to be desired from a play perspective (including spinner issues). This one surprises me a little bit. Is it just the aesthetic or is it performance-based?

On the flipside, I love the Nevada Jacks Saloon Series. Other than the color of the 5k, I think that's quite a good value for a basic tournament set.Nevada Jacks in particular pretty much go out of their way to make me want to loathe them.

I agree with most of your list, except for the grand inlay part. To be fair though if I actually owned a set of grand inlays I’d probably change my mind. Slick chips annoy me.Hate is a pretty strong word, but I'm not very fond of any of these:

I've actually seen several sets with faux mold markings that looked really good......... in pictures. Not so much IRL.After seeing other threads, I’m reminded that I can’t stand any ceramic chip with faux molding. Yuck

Exactly the same thing for me, Casino de Mexico 5s mint still remember what I ate for breakfast that day... now I just handled TRKs last week so I think it’ll be easier on my wallet if I just go jump off a bridge. The key to enjoying CCs is never handle paulsons. I had a full set of Dunes CC which I painstakingly cleaned and oiled by hand. I loved em and had no plans of buying any other chips. The first rack of paulsons I handled which were mint CInci 25s were a total game changer. I knew from the first moment I handled them that I was going to buy a full set and be done with CC chips. It literally was a 1 second decision.
Also wanted to give a huge thanks to @saleen121212 for creating this thread. Took some balls to make a thread about chips he dislikes on a poker chip forum. What chips or style of chips do you dislike, even if it is controversial? My top 3 will really piss people off so I will wait until others go![]()

It also showed how varied everyone is in what they look for in a poker chip and has made me more appreciative of the people who don’t like the chips I do, won’t be sniping them from the WTS threads before me, and won’t be bidding them up in auction. For that, all I can say is thank you for having horrible taste in poker chips!![]()
Oval designs on chips. My brain just can’t handle an oblong shape on a perfectly round chip. Really the only one that makes me cringe every time is the Royal Yaks....
