It really is.... It used to be Montana, but they decided that wasn't working......Isn't Idaho the American Autobahn?

Yeah. It's true. 5 over is generally acceptable, but some enforcement officers are a bit more fun in the small towns....or ISPThis is strictly NOT the experience I've had in my ~30 years here.
I once got stopped by ISP at close to midnight doing ~30 over in an I-84 construction zone... and then got stopped again about a week later by the same ISP officer. That was an actual nightmare. Only one (large) ticket from the two stops, but I didn't drive on the freeway for like a year after that.
