It would be really awesome if people would mark the classifieds in a completed status like "Sold" or "Found" so that people could search them without having to read every post, not find a resolution, PM the person, then find out they are actually sold or not needed any more.

Thanks for listening, sorry about the rant. This is not in response to a single person, but the entire section as a whole.

I do understand that it is easy to forget when things are out there for a while.

I sometimes forget to mark my ads too. I went back the other day and marked most of them.
I'll have to update the thread that shows how to do it. It still has the screen shots from the old forum.

Tommy, is there an option to leave an ad open for a pre-determined period of time (30, 45, 60 days - just examples) and then have the system send the OP a notification to either extend or cancel the ad? Just thinking this might help with some of the ads that people (like me) forget to close when they are no longer needed.

Don't know if this was known but you can also just look at specific ad types by just clicking on the ad's prefix.

Then to clear it and go back to all ads just close the filter. Can also be done using the Thread Options at the bottom of the page but this way is much faster.

Nothing by default but I was looking to add back the auto-close feature we had on the old forum.

This is pretty neat, but would be even better if it worked from the New Posts page.

Feature is back. If the ad thread never gets any replies, it will be locked 60 days after its creation date. Otherwise 60 days from the last reply date.

Does it resolve it too? Or just lock it so no one can reply?

Change the status from for sale or wanted to something else, like Expired or Archived.

Ahh, that would be cool. Definitely some custom coding involved for that. I'll see what I can do.
