Why aren’t briefcase type chip cases more popular than racks here, especially given the potential for damage?

Briefcases have annoying columns of 50.Why aren’t briefcase type chip cases more popular than racks here, especially given the potential for damage?
The handles were always questionable at best, though my limit set is spread over 2 aluminum (1100 chips each, after modding it) cases. It's just not pretty on the shelf. Why aren’t briefcase type chip cases more popular than racks here, especially given the potential for damage?
Because if you stack them on top of each other, the sharp edges on the bottom of the briefcases can damage the chips inside...Why aren’t briefcase type chip cases more popular than racks here, especially given the potential for damage?
I disagree.Or, in the case with CPC, orange $5s (can I include arc yellow here??) are for people who want a yellow $5, but realize that all the yellows on offer suck as a base colour.
Please seek help.I disagree.

My controversial opinion is that CPC dg yellow is the best yellow offered by ANY compression molded chip manufacturer

The only downside I see to them is that it’s handy to have racks around when cashing out after a cash game. That, and the majority of them have cheap handles and hinges that could explode at any given moment, if you’re actually transporting them. Oh and the practical sizes tend to max out around 750ish.Why aren’t briefcase type chip cases more popular than racks here, especially given the potential for damage?
I have chocolate $5s. Where does that leave me?
This ^. I've had many suitcases fail, never had a Pelican with enclosed racks fail. The handles were always questionable at best, though my limit set is spread over 2 aluminum (1100 chips each, after modding it) cases. It's just not pretty on the shelf.
I’ll just introduce a wrench into the conversation that for me “protection” is more than just rack-on-rack damage. I like that they’re fully enclosed to protect random shit getting on a rack when I have them off the shelf on my desk. I like that they feel more stable to be and much easier to pick up and move around without dropping. They’re literally just easier to hold which to me is a protective feature.
Likely because those racks are hideous.but is scared of Justin racks for some reason
Oh god, this was hard to watch. Love those chips btw! Here’s me, whacking the crap out of a whole rack. I was aiming for the edges, trying to make a flea bite, so I missed once. But I whacked and I whacked with the sharp acrylic edge and couldn’t damage the chips.
It was hard to do. That third or 4th whack when the whole rack moved - I was like 90% sure they’d be fine, but that’s a scary 10%.Oh god, this was hard to watch. Love those chips btw!
All for science! Thank youIt was hard to do. That third or 4th whack when the whole rack moved - I was like 90% sure they’d be fine, but that’s a scary 10%.
SCIENCE!
I won’t believe until those chips are sent to me for close inspection. Pronto Mister!!It was hard to do. That third or 4th whack when the whole rack moved - I was like 90% sure they’d be fine, but that’s a scary 10%.
SCIENCE!
Hotstamps •are• the nutsHotstamps are the nuts
I don't use such features, but couldn't people just use ignore settings?Quality of the site would significantly improve if PCF had a mechanism for voting a few people off the island And very likely, many veteran chippers would come back and started posting again
Ok, drama much?Quality of the site would significantly improve if PCF had a mechanism for voting a few people off the island And very likely, many veteran chippers would come back and started posting again
Denominated and labeled chips are overrated.
Solids.
Preferably HHR’s, DieCars, TriClubs, DSQ’s
I ran amazing last night. Carryover courage.Well, that was brave
Christ that’s a good idea.
I’m a 100 pages deep into the classifieds looking for what nobody wants. Let them have Ken pricing. I can’t afford it. Give me some of the best chips ever made out of Spragg’s vault or someone’s closet while everyone else is shelling out hundreds per barrel.Truthfully I’m more offended by someone trying to defend ridiculous chip prices. Even though they are nice designs I’d never pay ‘Ken’ prices for any chip - those prices are outrageous! Same with fools pumping up auction prices for the Harrahs offerings from Jim at The Chiproom. Who the heck has that kind of cash to throw around. This site has gone price bonkers! Yet those same people sneer at the Chinese chips being sold. Why are they selling so well? They are nice! And affordable. I’m so happy my chip buying days are close to an end. I’ll be able to leave this madness behind.
