Custom artwork group buy. US/CAN CARDS MOLD (13 Viewers)

I gotta keep pinching myself that these things are 30 cents a chip. You can keep posting the same pics from the first batch for the next year, and I'll keep coming back to check it out. 30 cents! Is anyone else just floored??
LOL - I was floored 3 months ago ... now I want to see 70,000 chips coming off the assembly line!!!

On the flip side we pay CPC $3-5 per chip and still have to wait 6-12 months. This has been what, 4 months since the opening announcement and we already have the first batch of chips on a boat? With samples of each and every chip?

I'd say that's worth 30 cents a chip.

Not trying to hate on CPC at all, but something which has confused me as of late as I put together my first THC set is that the THC stuff I change my mind on after I've got it in hand already I can turn around and sell for what I paid for it and often it's all sold within an hour or two. Does CPC have that kind of resell-ability? If not, what justifies the cost?

It's the only place left to get fully custom full clay poker chips. That's it. That's the justification.

Suffice it to say, it's not for everyone. They certainly are not the same quality or feel as Paulsons, but then again nothing is. No custom ceramic will ever reach the quality of clay, period. But if you want custom clays, there's 1 player left in the game. They know it, and everyone else knows it.

I ordered mine from ASM back when the original ASM was still around, and so were TRK and BCC. Over a decade later and they're still in great shape, plus they're a shining prize in my poker life. I wouldn't WANT to sell these because they are MINE. With that said, if I ever want to add on again I have to pay up.

For the most, resale is not the appeal of CPC. Some of their stock items will hold value. They’ll never sell for more than you paid.

But it is the only source in the world for fully customized compression-molded clay chips.

I'd guess that the VAST majority of chippers who buy a CPC set will never ever sell it.

Depends on the design of the CPC set. I think most folks choose a design that is deeply personal, so reselling it without taking a loss is going to be tough.

On the other hand, anyone with a Rounders set on the old Roman mold could probably easily get top dollar.

THIS ^^^

If you want custom chips, there are lots of options for ceramic, but only one for real clay. Just as with most of these Cards mold chips, those of us who developed a custom design are buying them to keep forever. Nobody is ever going to pay me even 20 cents a chip for Texas Flood Poker Room chips. This is a sunk cost, never to be recouped. With CPC you will get SOME of your investment back because they are still very nice clay chips that a new owner can re-label if they don't like your design. But yeah, once you design a custom set and spend several thousand dollars (for clay) you're likely keeping them until you die and passing them on to your kids.

If I had more samples to show I would show you. We got pretty lucky here. We are the only group to do something like this and it was a lot bigger than I expected.
Hoping to the tracking is updated with the first shipment Monday or so. A new thing to watch how long it get to my house. https://www.fedex.com/apps/fedextrack/?tracknumbers=396830808388
Still not in the US yet.

Same chips keep being shown. Did you pay her for the full order or are you just paying as she completes a batch?
I paid for half and we split the orders in due to not being able to do over $5000 on alibaba.
They are producing chips. They also have other plastic chips to produce. We are not their only job.

SLOW / CHEAP / GOOD
