To give an inside look of the timeline of payment and the length of production times. Hoping they get the production more streamlined especially with the not needing of samples.
I feel like one of my orders might be in one of these!

Lol. Me too. I think I am batch 2. How do we know??
There will be 4-5 batches due to the number of chips paid for in each order might not actually be in that shipment. Like Mister @GetUrShineBox will have some chips in the second order.

Had to divide payments under $5,000 and we had over $20,000 in chips.

Curious as to how/why this was determined. I've sent large wire transfers to china for chips on several occasions.
It was due to a charge on their end if they went over $5,000. Higher up than both of us. Also China is kind of a big country.

Getting close to 4k posts in this thread... this may have already been asked and answered.

Are the shipping costs (China to US) built into what we already paid?

My understanding is that we paid based on a shipping quote for the entire 70,000+ chips vs 4-5 smaller shipments. Is this manufacturer going to eat the cost if the shipping cost of 4-5 smaller shipments is greater than what we paid?

That is already paid. No increase in the original shipping from China to US. The only thing that you are paying is the shipping and handling costs from me to you after they get here. And I am able to get it repackage to shipped to you.
Cool?

Not to rain on any parade but is this not needing samples for everyone? Just double checking because I'd still like to see samples for my order even if it's just one of the denominations since the design was pretty complicated.

Worker will be back to work on 8th,OCT.2020
Worker? Sounds like they have one guy making these part time!

Anyone see that movie Parasite? Thinking about the family in their basement suite folding pizza boxes.

I'm imagining this chip manufacturer is actually just Tina in a shed. CEO, CFO, VP marketing, secretary, head of security, janitor, and lone chip assembler all in one.

Great movie! I get the feeling their operation looked like Amazon compared to this one... As long as the chips are purdy tho' :)

No chips on my VERANDA yet. I am sad.
Going to get some tape from Costco.
Could really use a tape gun.
I thought there was a user who was going to mail you supplies. I'm a bit saddened to learn you need to go out for supplies. You should have received a care package from the group as a whole (which was proposed at some point I thought), and not be made to run to Costco. Sorry, for my part, to let you down.

(I sent a roll of tape and shrink wrap roller, those are from me and Jeeves ;))

I thought Sean was going to add the cost of shipping materials to our final shipping payments?

If that's not the plan, it should be. Zero reason he should be one cent out of pocket on this.
I thought this was the plan too?

I think several people said to add it, others said they planned on buying and sending stuff.

I was gonna order dinner and have it delivered whatever night he was packing up chips, but figured that's always iffy ordering other people's meals.
