Ugh. Made the mistake of unsubscribing. After seeing the amazing pron on this page, I had to go back and read a boat load of pages.

This whole adventure has been amazing, the chips appear delicious, and I’m quite bummed I pulled out at the last min.

I love this little cash set, but I can't help but think that there is an ugly duckling in the group? I think I'm going to need to come up with a new $5 chip. I prefer standard colors, so something close to red, but brighter, maybe orangish to match the others better. Maybe the color of the edgespot in the $20 chip? What do you think? I may start a separate thread for the subject.

As others mentioned, swap out that red for a brighter hue -- and pop in a bright white center spot.

I was very impressed with the consistancy of these chips. I weighed 10 stacks of 20 and they all came out between 197-200g. I don't have any calipers at work but stacking 60 chips side by side they are super level and consistent thickness. It's really easy to cut chips to make bets or add on for rebuys.

Word of warning for those using the aces art. The edge alignment is off a fair bit on some of the base chips (I attached a photo of the worst of the bunch). This isn't a manufacturing issue as some of the edges are perfect and they drift from there. It doesn't bug me though.

I'm really stoked about these chips but they seemed to use the @Schmendr1ck art not mine for the NCC. Kinda bummed I didn't get what I ordered but they are still an awesome chip for the price!

Also!
Not to spam but they stack like bricks! 200 chips tall easy.
Impressive! I also like that you got $20 chips instead of $25. That was my only disappointment with the large NCC group buy. And I like the yellow dress on that chip. Ours all used the green dress for all denoms. I will probably do an add-on at some time in the future. Are you the owner of that particular $20 artwork?

I also ordered the lighter color quarter. It's more of a watermelon color.

Not sure who was the first to prepare art with this variation, but I think it's the more accurate color when referencing the original NCC frac?

I got the original Aces designs from Bosco. There was always some with alignment issues, whether the sides don't line up, or one side of the faces are off centered just a bit. Generally the misalignment would appear on one side when it came to the edges aligning with the faces. The new ones in the photos below are off centered, which causes some misalignment with the edges.

The only design I think of the Aces that was off with the edge designs was the white $1, and it was small. I tried fixing it for the new order of $1's I ordered, but then again they used a slightly off gray for the edgespots. However when stacking them with the first batch of $1's I have you barely notice.

Yeah! The I opted to deviate from the original NCC because we play pretty small games and then you can add on with a $20 bill. I'll send you the file if you are interested

Thanks!

After I had already ordered my NCC set, I started playing with my stack arrangements I have in an Excel file, and I realized $25 chips are a PITA to work with.
