Custom artwork group buy. US/CAN CARDS MOLD (11 Viewers)

By transaction fee, do you mean the tariff? If so, each person simply adds 15% to their chip cost. And yeah, the shipping from china comes in just under 3 cents a chip. Like within a few hundredths of a cent. Round it to 3 cents for each chip you bought and be done with it.
If things go proper there won't be any tariffs. He's likely talking about transaction fees. Alibaba charges transaction fees on stuff like this unless you do direct bank wires which can be risky.

Please explain? We've been talking 15% tariff since day one. Other recent GBs with this manufacturer and Sun-Fly have had 15% tariffs. What would be different about this buy?

Am I correct to assume as far as certain people are concerned, Tina's sending us a crateful of, say, dog leashes or adult diapers?
I can't profess to know all the ins and outs. I had an inside connection that I personally tapped to try and avoid some fees but from what he told me everything was free of tariffs with the scrub donkey order. I've heard there is a loophole for certain gaming items and even specifically details poker chips. Maybe they're shady maybe they're smart. Maybe it's both. All I know is we imported 45k poker chips earlier this year and didn't pay a dime in tariffs.

I can't claim to know whether this will work the same. That's for @SeanGecko to answer. All I'm saying is in my personal experiences with them there has been zero tariffs paid. That's on 3 orders. I do know SunFly has been hit with them as has Apaches provider for his chips. It could be illegal as hell as far as I know. I can only comment on my personal experiences.

I do know there is an $800 (maybe more now?) exemption where you can import anything under $800 and not be hit with any tariffs. Maybe they're not declaring the real value? They didn't go into details, even after I asked.

I don't think illegal, just crafty

I'll never forget ordering $600 worth of sports jerseys from Alibaba in college and seeing I got delivered "diapers child/adult" on the c*stoms slip lol

Hopefully there aren't any tariffs. On an order this size it could be substantial. The highest rate on Chinese goods now is 25% so everyone keep your fingers crossed. You'd be looking at roughly 7 cents per chip extra if hit with a tariff that high. Nothing deal breaker level but definitely a huge cost.

Current U.S. tariff on Chinese-manufactured gaming tokens/poker chips is 15%. Whether or not it gets applied is another topic altogether.....

I did some deeper digging. The harmonized tariff schedule on poker chips is duty free. I don't know why companies like SunFly and others are getting hit by it. I'm more than open to someone with a bigger brain explaining this to me.

SO should we do a second order of say 100,000 chips??

Hey 45k was plenty enough for me lol. You're a wild man doing 70k+ let the next crazy guy tackle 100k.

We need to find a China clay supplier that can do another group buy like the CPS chips...then you might be looking at silly numbers.

That is a change from when I researched for the Sun-Fly Prestige buy. Poker chips were clearly identified as subject to 15% tariff at that time.

There were some changes that went into effect in July so maybe that was one of the changes?

Thanks for the explanation. I didn't realize there was no tariff on the Scrub Ds. I was just a touch to late joining up here to get into that one.

This would be great news if we can avoid that extra cost. Let's keep out fingers crossed.

My apologies, I've been in Vegas. Since last Thursday, haven't checked here. I've pm'd my info.
