Custom artwork. US/CAN CARDS MOLD 2: The Quickening!! (3 Viewers)

I ordered direct and paid 30c per chip + shipping. I think the GB was 30c per chip INCLUDING shipping, significantly reducing the costs But this was before I joined PCF. The cost for shipping to the UK was about 10c extra, per chip. YMMV

Yeah I went back to post #1 from the group buy. It was 0.26 at 10,000 MOQ. I guess it took getting up to really big numbers to reduce it to $0.24.

How many chips total was that? I was thinking Sean said shipping on 1000 was $140 (?) but would progressively go down per chip as the order size increases. Until you get up to about 10K, after which it stays pretty steady at about 3 cents a chip.

Shipping on just the color sample chips was even $90

I can’t wait to see how those turned out. How many chips / colors did you end up going with?
I just wanted to get them done and out to everyone so I wasn’t collecting feedback. In the end these will be on 43mm...

Looks like edges are not color matched?
Sample run of the sample chips. That’s just as they do on any sample chips before approval for the actual print run. Edges will be colored matched.

edit: looks like they did run the edges on the sample run but just screwed up on the last two chips. But yes the actual print run should be fine.

Would like to be in. Cash set + tourney set= ~1000 chips. Would need to borrow artwork/design though.
We're some time away from actually taking orders. Just in the discussion phase now. You have time to find artwork to piggyback on, or to hire a designer if you want something personal. Stay tuned here and be sure to browse the other related CARDS MOLD threads to see what you like.

And welcome to PCF! Great bunch here so don't hesitate to ask questions. Are you a new chipper? If not, what do you have now?

I'll start either tinkering w/ design, or locking down someone else's. somehow i have 2 differing sets of dice chips, it's gross. came to PCF looking for tourney set advice. After looking at the prev/ongoing GB, I figure why not get 2 sets of exactly what I want.

Also, I should have mentioned, if it's helpful I can be a re-shipper on the Canadian side.

I think for this round I'd like to go larger and no mold. Is that an option and do we have a price?

The color sample chips are on 43mm no mold both textures and smooth options (although I can’t really tell the difference). Price difference is negligible.

I think I'd have prefered mine from the original GB as no mold, the cards are fine they just don't add anything for me but I think was only an option on the 43s.

I got a color sample so I'm interested in comparing the smooth option to the 'regular' when I get my set in.

I’m definitely getting a 43mm set myself.

You have me thinking. Not sure I want a full 43mm set, but...maybe.

Definitely would appreciate an evaluation of the smooth versus regular finishes when you get them.

These 43mm color sample chips made me want a set of 43s.

FWIW I tried to mix the smooth and textured in the sample sets but it was REALLY difficult for me and the wifey to tell the difference. Although I did see the color “spotting” that Tina talks about on some of the smooth chips. Or am I getting that backwards?! That was more identifiable than the texture itself to me. I would get textured.

Hmm...a 43mm set of ACF Paulson tourney chips: micro stakes cash and multi-table tourney... I don’t have a 43mm set, the designs and colors seem to pop, don’t see the need for the cards mold. What am I missing?

Not missing anything. It's just a matter of personal preference. I love the cards mold. The debossed image and ring around the center to my eye make the chips look more like real compressed clay chips. But I also bought Bounty chips on the 43mm plain mold. Also, I have a custom built storage cabinet that is designed for 39mm chips, so no good storage option for a large number of 43mm chips without unnecessary added expense. Choices are great! Get the ones you want.

The original GB was on Cards mold because that is what I was wanting and going for a reduction in price. We got to .24c a chip! I didn't add 43mm until we got to the first 20,000 Chips reserved.
It ballooned to 76,000 + chips.

Oh, no, I understand the history of the OG GB (all 7,512 pages of it) and am prepared to order 39mm on cards mold with gusto if that’s the way things go, again (missed the OG GB by a week when I rotated for work).

What I meant was, what am I missing with my recent thought of a possible 43mm set.

Nothing. Nothing I can think of
