Custom artwork. US/CAN CARDS MOLD 2: The Quickening!! (3 Viewers)

Thinking about doing a micro cash set in the next group buy. Still debating whether to use one of the stock designs, ask to tweak one a bit, or have something new put together.

I see that there are a number of talented designers who have created the stock designs. Who would be interested in working up a new (exclusive) design? I have a theme in mind, and it wouldn't need to be much different than what's been done already - change colors, spots, and denoms around just a bit, and maybe add some text and a logo to the inlay. This is my first go-round with design, so what kind of cost are we talking about to do something new?

Speaking of artwork....who was the genius that came up with the "Aces" design? And, if I suck up enough, do you think he/she would be willing to modify it for me?

:)
Sorry dude. I know you don't know why everyone is laughing. It's a long, LONG story. I was going to link you to the thread, but apparently it's been pulled off the forum. There was a link to it in Sean's original GB thread, but it's dead now. I guess @Tommy decided to remove it.

Short version:

Guy named Bosco came up with (or had designed) the Aces artwork, made the connection with Tina, and became a PCF vendor. Took a bunch of orders for custom cards mold chips, took a bunch of people's money, then had some massive personal issue and basically dropped off the face of the earth for a while. Something like 3-6 months. He did eventually come back, and I believe made everyone whole on the money he had taken. I think a few people (possibly including Sean) got at least some of their chips, and I think he promised to send several boxes of chips to Sean, but I don't think he ever did. So yeah, huge deal at PCF, but the end result was @SeanGecko is now KING OF CARDS MOLD!!!

Beats being named King of the North, at least you don't have to fight any zombies.

Yeah, I was a little confused and thought maybe I was the butt of the joke...thanks for clearing that up! :D

I know just enough about Illustrator to be dangerous, but I'm thinking I can figure it out with a little help from Google. ;)

Reposting this from another thread for those who want to discuss prior to my ACTUAL GB post which is coming soon.

I have begun the process of organizing the Aria GB. I'm reaching out to various parties to gather information. Stay tuned for an interest/order thread to be posted here in the Group Buy forum, hopefully before the end of the weekend.

I've given lots of hints as to what is going to be offered in this and other threads. Get your chip counts and budgets ready. There will be both a tournament and a cash set offered, and I am going to strictly limit the size of the GB. Sorry, I am not a saint like @SeanGecko :) You have been warned. Be prepared to act quickly! LOL!

Here are a few photos to get you in the mood. Final art won't be exactly like the chips in pic #2. The tournament set will add on a T25 and a T100K. The cash set will closely approximate the actual Aria chips. There will be a FIVE CENT and a TWENTYFIVE CENT chip.

Love that the 100k has been added. I dont think ill be able to resist this buy.

Could we consider at $2 chip? Would consider this for a limit set, happy to help w design if so

The quarter will look like the actual $3 chip above. The nickel will look like the $10 chip above.
Ouch, green quarter. I was hoping you would make it the red white & blue OMG I’m in love 5k chip lol

I know this is your buy and I respect 100% that, but if you do a green quarter then you can’t have a green $25 chip in play at the same time.
I know most will go with the $20 but just pointing that out in case you missed it

Sorry... :( I know it's impossible to please everyone in a big group buy. Once I have a first draft of all the chips we can discuss tweaks or even major changes. $2 chip could be possible if there is enough interest. I will say that I'm in love with the mint green chip as the quarter, so it's going to take a huge groundswell against me to get me to change that one.

Do you have samples of that color with the blue 1? Are they close in color?
