@TX_Golf_N_Poker when you have the thread up and ready to roll, can you post the link in this thread so I can get a notification, or tag me in the thread.

Don’t be sorry.Sorry... I know it's impossible to please everyone in a big group buy. Once I have a first draft of all the chips we can discuss tweaks or even major changes. $2 chip could be possible if there is enough interest. I will say that I'm in love with the mint green chip as the quarter, so it's going to take a huge groundswell against me to get me to change that one.
Sorry, I missed the second part of your comment. The 25 is a tournament chip, so would not be in play with the quarter. Upper cash denoms will be 5 - 20 - 100.Ouch, green quarter. I was hoping you would make it the red white & blue OMG I’m in love 5k chip lol
I know this is your buy and I respect 100% that, but if you do a green quarter then you can’t have a green $25 chip in play at the same time.
I know most will go with the $20 but just pointing that out in case you missed it
Yes, I'm doing it, but I'm doing it for the community. I have no intention of this being a my way or the highway deal. I want input from the participants. I will do my best to please the maximum number of people. Heck, I doubt I will even be the biggest purchaser of these chips. I just love them and want a small set of each, and I enjoy the organization of putting together the buy. But in the end, what I don't want is 2 or 3 different versions of each chip. That's a potential nightmare. So we will as a group decide on the lineup, then I'll offer it up.Don’t be sorry.
you are doing this and we are along for the ride. You are doing the right thing by making them all the same with no changes. Less stress on your part lol. I was just making sure you thought of that.
not a deal breaker for me.
Thanks for doing this.
If you are referring to the $1 cards mold chip in the 2nd pic, then all I can say it that is not what my $1 is going to look like. I plan to get it as close as possible to the actual chip both in colors and shape of the edge spots.Do you have samples of that color with the blue 1? Are they close in color?
ARIA cash set is what I am looking for as well... that's 2New here, but very interested in that Aria cash set! Looking forward to the next update
Agree with the mint green. glad you are planning on offering in the cash set.I will say that I'm in love with the mint green chip as the quarter, so it's going to take a huge groundswell against me to get me to change that one
Dumb question, why is there an apostrophe in ARIA'S? Why not just ARIAS?
I get that it needs to be different than the original name, but didn't understand 'S significance.

First off, I'm apologizing for my ignorance regarding Vegas. I found this cool photo on the internet, and was thinking some variation of this might look really good on a future poker chip label design. Can anyone tell me, is this one specific location, or is it several different Vegas landmarks assembled together? Just unsure if this is an actual photo, or a photo-shopped image.

For my ignorant ass, do these feel closer to China Clays like Majestics or like something else?Nobody is ever going to mistake these chips for Paulsons. They are super cool FOR WHAT THEY ARE. Which is to say cheap chips. The price is mostly what makes them attractive. For 30 cents a chip to your door - They are OUTSTANDING chips. Vibrant colors. Infinite personal designs. Stack nice, feel nice, play nice. But they're not perfect and they never will be. Some of the edges won't align perfectly. You may get a few spinners. The artwork will never be as crisp as you could get on a Gear label or a Paulson inlay. A set of these will never make you want to sell your compressed clay chips. They have a niche. Because they're cheap, you can buy a LOT of them. For big tourneys. For your ham-handed drunk buddies who will throw them around, splash the pots, and drop them on the floor. They'll never be your NUMBER 1 set. But for what they are, they are damn nice.
no, they don't feel like either one. They are pretty close to just about any ceramic chip out there ABC ceramics, Apache, Sunfly, lots of other ones too. There are very small differences between various makers, but they are all pretty similar. Top row is from one of the recent cards molds runs and other than the cards that are actually part of the mold and recessed into the chips just like compression molded chips, are just like other ceramic chips. Here are a bunch of different ones that I have on hand. Sorry that some of these are rather old as I have not bought many ceramics recently. For my ignorant ass, do these feel closer to China Clays like Majestics or like something else?
Ah good to know. I saw the compression mold and jumped to clay. Looks like I'll need to find some samples on the classifieds. Thanks!no, they don't feel like either one. yea, not clays but the cards molded into the chip is meant to imitate clays. Looks in pics are pretty fantastic. Feel is like any other ceramic chip. Not bad, but certainly not in the same league as Paulsons or CPC, BCC, TR Kings etc. For the price though, really good I would say.Ah good to know. I saw the compression mold and jumped to clay. The printing on yours looks pretty sharp too, I've seen some ceramics on here that dont look nearly as sharp (kinda blurry) so it may be that just used a design that didnt transfer well.yea, not clays but the cards molded into the chip is meant to imitate clays. I'm not saying I don't agree with you, but I wouldn't always trust pictures you see on here. Most people on here don't know how to take pictures and lots of pictures are blurry because the picture is out of focus and lots of times colors are not right because people have the white balance all wrong or over or under exposed etcThe printing on yours looks pretty sharp too, I've seen some ceramics on here that dont look nearly as sharp (kinda blurry) so it may be that just used a design that didnt transfer well.
I'm going to disagree with @NanookFor my ignorant ass, do these feel closer to China Clays like Majestics or like something else?
Ok thats good to know. I currently only have Classics, Scrolls, and Nile Club samples in ceramic. And Majestic and Milano in CCs. I love the Majestics feel. I have some Paulsons from various casinos and I [almost] prefer the Majestics feel to those.I'm going to disagree with @Nanook
I have a LOT of china clay chips, and a few ceramics and real clay chips. In my opinion, cards mold feel MUCH more like china clays than like most ceramic chips (the ones I have) that are on a plain, non embossed mold. Holding a Majestic and a cards mold chip in my hand right now. Other than the label on the Majestic, the two feel very similar. Unlike my ceramic examples that are much more slippery, especially the cheaper ones like Nile and Desert Sands that are in the same price range with cards mold. The higher quality Chipco and the custom (from ABC or BPP) do feel closer to cards mold, but they are a lot more expensive too.
Now just to be clear, NONE of them feel anything like a minty Paulson THC chip. But hopefully for 30 cents, no one is expecting them to.

ok, well I guess this is why everyone here suggests getting samples of everything. I only have a couple samples of china clays and for me they just don't do it. None of them are very good, in my opinion. But with that said, they are very inexpensive and to be able to buy 1000 chips as good as china clays are for $150 or whatever is amazing. For me it is a waste of $150 though.... There is a huge difference in price between various makers of different chips and some will and some won't care about some of the differences.I'm going to disagree with @Nanook

Absolutely agree. And I hope you didn't take my post as a knock on your opinion. Feel is a very subjective thing. Also, we all have our biases. and as you stated, you don't care for china clay chips. On the other hand, I am in the exact opposite position. I love my china clays, especially my 8Vs, which I feel are the cream of the china clay crop. I don't just love Majestics, but I recognize that that to me, they feel more like cards mold than other plain mold ceramics do. @QuailValley asked for opinions, and since mine was different than yours, I felt that I should give it.ok, well I guess this is why everyone here suggests getting samples of everything. And like they say....
everyone has an opinion, right?
no, not at all. Different strokes for different folks & that is why everyone says "Get Samples"Absolutely agree. And I hope you didn't take my post as a knock on your opinion. ....
My PGI 8Vs. Hands down. I have nearly 2000 of them. I also like the 3 color Spirit mold chips for their sharp edges, but gave up on finding enough of them to make a playable set. And some of them (certain colors apparently) have crumbling issues. But 8Vs are tanks! Durable, nice feel (my opinion) and can be found in 8 or 9 different colors. They are starting to get hard to find now too, as they are only available on the secondary market. And most everyone I know who has playable numbers of them are not selling. They haven't been made and sold at retail for years. Of the china clays that can be bought new at retail today, I like Pharaohs and Royals.no, not at all. Different strokes for different folks & that is why everyone says "Get Samples"
Which ones are your favorite China Clays?
You have an pics? I have no idea what these even look likeMy PGI 8Vs. Hands down. I have nearly 2000 of them.........
I don't have either one, but I was part of the original Pharaohs gb back on CT so I'm just not going there. I do like the variety you get with the Royals. But I'm not a big fan of 43mm chips so that sort of knocks those out for me........Of the china clays that can be bought new at retail today, I like Pharaohs and Royals.
