Custom artwork. US/CAN CARDS MOLD 2: The Quickening!! (4 Viewers)

Anyone who can help me with step 2 let me know. Should I post my interest in other card mold threads?

I was thinking trying to undertake a group buy myself would be too ambitious. Thanks for verification of that @Himewad

But I don’t mind helping in any way!
I can help you out with ordering or running a group buy. If you haven’t seen it yet start with the thread below and then ask me questions beyond that.

There is a very long line of people who want in on these chips but a huge shortage of people willing to step up and actually do it.

I am still in the early stages of the Aria GB. I had started a PM conversation on the "how to" of running one of these with @SeanGecko and @FDLmold I would be happy to add both of you to this conversation, so that we we can both benefit from the same information and you guys with the knowledge don't have to keep repeating yourselves. You guys good with that?

Yes please add me to PM. I sent a pm to @Eloe2000 earlier with some of the questions I had if I decided to undertake a group buy. I’ll add that question to pm when you add me.

Here are a few photos to get you in the mood. Final art won't be exactly like the chips in pic #2. The tournament set will add on a T25 and a T100K. The cash set will closely approximate the actual Aria chips. There will be a FIVE CENT and a TWENTYFIVE CENT chip.

I really like those high denom tournament chips. I might have enough micro cash chips, maybe a high roller tourney set is the way to go for me. I'm just not a fan of the yellow and black 1000. What are the odds of adding a 500K chip to the lineup, or is that just crazy talk?

@TX_Golf_N_Poker are you only doing aria? Can others tag along with their customs?
I’m also in for a group buy, maybe 600 to 1000 chips. I’m going to try to get customs - how much time do I have?

I can arrange a US address.
It will be better to just deal direct with Tina and get it send directly from China to SG, any saving on GB will be offset when u have to pay extra delivery fee from US back to SG

No I create the chip with colors and edgespots in the pomer is great website. it has an option to export as a svg vector file. I tae that chip then design the inlay on it.
Do you have a link to this website? I'm having trouble with edgespots.

Am I wrong?

Just a thought, but if they are considering some type of new mold from scratch… I wonder if they would take input or feedback. It seemed like some people didn’t like the “cards”. Curious if this is an opportunity here. That being said I don’t hate the cards and am definitely in for a set of molded 43mm.

I was thinking the same thing. If the mold was something different I could see myself ordering a ton more.

Last time I mentioned it I was shut down tho lol. I think these chips have now surpassed just a hit and run cheap option for us.

I'm king of the cards mold!!!

Also not sure what other options world be possible. Cards seems the easiest.

If they made the centre area just ever so slightly recessed (not as much as the cards imprint) that would solve the spinner problem too.

I did ask Tina whether a 43mm cards mood was coming and all I got back was a winky smiley...

At least from my perspective, my thoughts at the time were not to complicate the project at that point since it would be difficult to get consensus on a mold and add cost to a cheap-o project when I was “fine” with the cards mold. But you are right, at this point I feel like we have sway with Tina & Co. and there will be a lot of utility out of the mold.

My reluctance on the 43mm has been because of the plain mold whereas my excitement for the 40mm has been the cards mold because it feels and looks closer to clays.

Has this already happened?? I was waiting for my batch 4 chips and I received them this week. Would like to order some more. Really pleased with them.

For that matter, why don‘t they just blatantly rip off the Top Hat & Cane mold? It’s not like these Chinese companies haven’t stolen other copyrighted material.
I suspect they have no idea how popular THC is with an obscure group of poker chip nerds. And I do hope you're just being sarcastic. I'm all for a cool new custom mold like we've discussed with @BGinGA in another thread. But I would hope that most here on PCF would not buy counterfeit THC chips from China.

It was sarcastic, but it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if it happened eventually.

I think a repeated pattern would be best. Something that is kind of non-descript. The cards, dice, crowns, hats, etc. are very specific. But if they just did something generic that added texture and a mold that would be best and would be the most flexible for just about everyone's needs.

Some kind of scrolling comes to mind or like @Himewad suggest just repeated shapes.
