I noticed earlier this month that I was approaching my 5,000th post in this wonderful forum and started to think of what I would use my post for. Well I have decided to use my 5,000th post to give back to the community.

Along my journey I have made many friends that I have had the pleasure of meeting in person and others that I have yet to meet but have shown to be great people, great friends and great chippers. I am not going to name them here because i am afraid I will leave someone out but I am sure most of you know who you are. The ones that I have met in person I met at a meet up. I am excited that later this week I will be attending the CC&GTCC chip convention and also attend the Zombie's "The Meet in the Suite" in Las Vegas. Here I will once again see some great people and also meet other great people in person that I have had the pleasure of communicating with over the last couple of years. All I can say is if you have not been to a meet up you are missing out!

Anyway, to celebrate this small milestone I thought I would give away some goodies. One lot for each of my 1000 posts. A total of 5 free giveaways!

Here is what we will be giving away.

How to win:

Anyone who wants to enter all you have to do is give us a brief story of how a fellow chipper helped you in the past. Maybe that chipper sent you a free chip or finally sold you those chips to complete your favorite set. Let us know who that chipper was so we can enter both you and the chipper who performed the good deed into the drawing. Let's call it a "Good Karma" Giveaway!

I will cover any conus shipping and will work with international winners!

• One Slot per person but if a someone is mentioned again as a helpful chipper they will receive another Slot
• Total Slots will be 1000
• Entries will close at 11:59 pm on Tuesday June 27th. (when I get back form Vegas)
• On Wednesday June 28th I will gather all of the names and update post #2 of this thread with all qualified entries.
• I will be assigned numbers to each slot depending on the amount of total entries.
• Each participant will receive the same amount of entires per slot
• We will use the Texas Lottery Pick Three for each drawing as follows
  • Drawing for Lot #1 - we will use the 6/30 Morning Drawing (10:00 am CDT)
  • Drawing for Lot #2 - we will use the 6/30 Day Drawing (12:27 pm CDT)
  • Drawing for Lot #3 - we will use the 6/29 Night Drawing (10:12 pm CDT)
  • Drawing for Lot #4 - we will use the 6/30 Evening Drawing (6:00 pm CDT)

Thanks David! What a great idea!

I would like to nominate @Stas . I had purchased a couple small heads up sets worth a few hundred dollars back in early December 2016. We could follow the tracking through about the end of December but the chips never made it to the US. I patiently waited till the middle of February. Without me having to ask out of nowhere I was refunded my full amount with an apology for the chips not arriving. He never asked for me to pay half. He never asked for anything. All he said was "sorry here's your money back". For a seller to ship from half way across the world and take that kind of action without being asked is above and beyond.

The crazy part is within 5 days of the refund I received two notices on my door. The tracking labels had gotten wet and unreadable. The chips arrived safely and I immediately sent him his money back.

I got addicted almost 1 year ago and purchased my first chips ever during the Cleveland Horseshoe extravaganza. Basically bought as many chips as I could justify to my wife, with a little forethought to practical cash and tourney use. After the first sale and having seen @BGinGA make numerous recommendations for tourney structure and chip set breakdown, I sent him a PM asking for some advice on how to try and fill out my set on the next sale. Felt like it was a long shot to get personalized advice.

I was almost shocked when I got back an extensive analysis of my sets with THREE different options on how to add on/upgrade my set to make more functional and optimally utilize what I had. I could go on explaining how helpful this was, but this is too long already, I'm sure. Anyways, I was pleasantly surprised. @kmccormick100 knows that I'm obsessed with one particular chip, the Grand Casino Gulfport $1.
Once, he noticed a couple of them on eBay for a low buy it now price. He snapped them and immediately sold them to me for the price he paid. On another occaision, he sent me one, totally free.
I've never met @kmccormick100 and our only interactions are essentially a couple of small chip transactions, but he's gone out of his way to help me.

I would like to nominate @Godzilla28. On top of consistently being an excellent person to conduct transactions with, he also selflessly agreed to purchase an entire lot and handle a split for me when I had a lot going on at home. He is a great guy and an asset to the community.
