So now that the Empress Star chips have been posted in public, I wanted to go ahead share my cali cash relabel set for those who might be interested in seeing it.

The set is a tribute to the island where @Mrs. Bentax and I spent our honeymoon back in 2002. Peter Island is a small private island in the British Virgin Islands, and Deadman's Bay is their main beach area. Sadly there are no casinos anywhere on the 1800 acre island.

The inlays are Bellagio tributes, with the "B" watermark replaced with a silhouette of the island itself. I thought the dark gray inlays worked well with the bright colors of the chips, and the Bellagio inlay is one of my favorites. In hindsight I regret not making an attempt to be more original, but I'm happy with the way they came out.

Denominations are as follows:

$1 chips are Empress Star T500 tournament chips
$5 chips are Empress Star T1000 tournament chips
$25 chips are Empress Star T5000 tournament chips
$100 chips are Empress Star $1 cash chips

Outstanding. More importantly though is when do I get to play with them?!? WCB maybe?

Did you label over the original inlays, or remove/replace?

Labelled over.

@Gear beat me to it by seconds....

However, I did consider inlay replacements (and still might down the road). I do greatly prefer inlay replacements overall, but it's a lot of labor (or additional cost). Also, for this particular design, I wasn't even sure the inlay replacements looked better. So for the time being, I went with labels over the existing inlays.

Here's a few pictures of the prototypes of the inlays replacement version. (label over inlays on the left, inlay replacements on the right).

I much prefer the cleaner look of the larger label > inlay replacement

I do agree that for this particular inlay the larger label looks better. It's much closer to the house mold size of the original Bellagio chip.

In terms of feel, I still prefer an inlay replacement.

All that said, after applying 2000 labels, I'm not really inclined to change my mind and redo anything ;)
