Hello all from beautiful Syracuse NY.
I love this game and with a friend of mine have started up a monthly private game at a local private club. Its been going well so far although we have only been at it two months. Had to take a break due to an injury that kept me from moving around too much.
Our games are modeled after the teachings of Chris Manzoni, we are somewhat low stakes and value good people over good players, we have been luck enough to have both.
After reading so many of your helpful posts, our game, like all games has found it’s biggest challenge to be player management. Getting players to commit, getting them to even respond, those kinds of things. (If you are in the CNY area and would like to be on the list hit me up.)
We play our tournament with Majestic chips which I quite like, our cash games use the Monte Carlo chips, I’m even going to add to that set to support a micro stakes game for after family gatherings.
It’s been a hell of a lot of fun and the wisdom in these pages has been invaluable!
