Dinner last night. Shaken steak! Also called Bo Luc Lac which basically translates to shaken steak. Ribeye marinaded with oyster sauce, dash of soy sauce, dash of mushroom sauce, sugar, honey, pepper and sautéed with shallots, onions, mushrooms, garlic and green onion. Served over a bed of lettuce. Rice optional

My wife is the type of person who says sushi is no good togo. Time is slowing making her come around. It’s definitely the food I miss eating the most and I can’t make this stuff at home

Making a shrimp soup from scratch. Real scratch. No pics, because in the time it took to find my camera, the shrimp shells for the stock boiled over - waaaayy over. It was like a junior-high baking-soda/vinegar volcano.

I would have taken a pic of that but Mrs Zombie would have slapped the phone out of my hand and then shoved the phone... well, lets just say the next photos would have looked like a colonoscopy series.

I will be reviewing this thread for @toothpic and @Kidsthesedays soup pics, to see what my end-goal should look like.

Well soup... but now it's going to have noodles!

Perhaps too much broth, but it was delicious. Topped with Katsuobushi, because who doesn't like to see their food wiggle on it's own?

Served with a Soju cocktail: Soju, a splash of bourbon, Luxardo cherry, and singed sage.

Haven't had a good charcuterie since COVID  . The olive bars are all closed up, and I can't just stand at the cheesemonger's counter and sample everything like I used to.

If you ask them at the counter you should be able to buy some olives if you know which ones. I'm not a fan myself, but my wife loves them so she buys full bags of them to eat over the course of a week. She's a big fan of the castellano olives (I think that's what they are called). She ate them with her family on Halloween while play dominoes. At least my poker mat still gets some attention even if it's not from poker games.

My local Publix has a self-service olive bar that recently reopened - they require (and provide) gloves and have a pretty low sneezeguard.

Just a nice candle lit dinner, lol

We used a bit too much olive oil cooking the zucchini but the salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar made it tasty good. The filet was melt in your mouth ridiculous. Complemented with a VERY good malbec
