Does great flea market finds ever happens ? (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
I was wondering lately if it is possible to find some great poker chips in a flea market sale.
There are plenty of them here in France, especially in the summer, but I never had the chance to find something interesting (at least related to poker)
I am always thinking that it may be possible in cities where there is a Casino (open or closed).

Does it ever happens to some of you to find some great gems ?

Yes, they happen every so often, which is kind of surprising considering how small/remote the hobby is.

Wow really ?! I always find some cheap plastic chips sets, but never had the luck to (at least) find some real clay chips.

They do happen but very rarely outside of USA as clay casino chips is less common

I’ve found exactly one Paulson rack, mint pink with RR engraved on it.

Here is todays finds - $30 total

Scotland vs England - literally huge
Some Pyrex and games for the upcoming cruise
Ancient Rome set
Rennaissance set
Early pente set from the “inventor”

Yes they do! I was able to find a $1000 chip at the antique store and I only paid $125!

Weren’t those weird secondary crystal park full face inlays all found at a second-hand store a year or two back, at like $5 per rack?
OP, it does happen. You’ll see a decent find posted here once or twice a year. But it’s not at all common.

I have my wife trained on what to look out for when she goes to yard sales with her friends. I've found nice racks of solids for good prices on eBay, but that was pure luck because there's lots of you guys scoping eBay out
