Search your email... Apache sends out an e-receipt with each order. That's the only way I can keep track. :P
 
@Apache How do these compare to the current Dunes chips on your website? I got samples of them and did not care for them. Quality was low and feel was hard and plasticky. A good chip for 19c though. Do these have a softer feel more like the majestic and CPS chips?

The Dunes chips on the website are not China Clay. These are going to be CC like the Majestic and CPS chips (some say better but I have no experience).

Good to know, I had heard there had been multiple versions of the Dunes. Besides the originals the only other ones I have had my hands on are the current offering from Apache.
 
Three versions - four if you include these latest updated china clays, and five if you include the originals.

9g injection-molded plastic, two versions of 10g china clays, and the awesome BCC version on custom mold. Plus the original Paulson chips on the Dunes house mold.


EDIT: Eh, no. Was mistakenly thinking of the BCC Desert Palms...... no BCC Dunes version.

Well Josh may want to change the description then....

The Dunes was one of the most famous Las Vegas casinos ever built. It was an icon on the Strip from 1955 – 1993. These chips are very close replicas of the actual chips used there. Every detail was covered to make sure these chips look just like the ones used at the Dunes. Even the mold is an exact copy. The chips are clay and weigh 9.5 grams each.
 
Nope. Those are 9g plastic injection-molded.

You can easily tell by the faux-shaped labels. All china clay chip labels (at least to date) are round. And larger diameter, except for Milanos.

This is what threw me off when I ordered the samples. Should have known the price was too good to be true for CC. But I'll probably jump on some of these new ones.

I agree that the description you are referring to isn't entirely accurate by the standards of "clay" that we are used to, but frankly, neither is China clay. I'd also probably recommend contacting him directly vs. making demands in a thread where he is bringing us quality China clay chips that we asked for at a good price, in a forum that he paid for.
 
I really can't handle the wait on these, they look soooooooooooo damn nice.

I alrady have 1000 on order and now I am trying to justify to myself why I don't have full racks of all denoms....

My current breakdown looks like this:

0.25 * 200
1 * 200
5 * 200
20 * 100
25 * 100
100 * 100
500 * 25
1000 * 25
5000 * 25
25000 * 25

Was thinking I could use as cash and Tourney, though might need to top up on the higher denoms to have a more rounded tourney set.

Any suggestions on what I should add on if I do?

You need an extra:
125 x T100 - 225 total
200 x T500 - 225 total
150 x T1000 - 175 total
Keep the T5000 as is. I doubt you'll ever use the T25,000 unless you run deepstack tourneys with rebuys maybe..use the other chips to fill in your T1000 rack. This will give you extras to file away just in case shit happens.
Racks would be:
200 x T100, T500 (25 each for spare)
160 x T1000 (15 for spare)
20 x T5000, T25,0000 (5 each for spare)

So an additional 400 chips to complete the set...

Might need to add on if I like what comes in the mail later this year :D

And that 500 chip is pretty sexy

I dropped in to check on this thread and I find protoypes of the chips?! This is incredible.

The $20 is outstanding. I am extremely happy about my decision to build a small cash set with those $20s in the mix.

November will be Christmas come early, for sure.
 
Any updates on production?

Can we get any pics of any completed chips?

I promise i'm not an addict!
