eBay question (1 Viewer)

Non payments are frustrating. I've had a few from selling records and rare CDs. I give all buyers 3 days then try contacting them for payment. If I receive no response after 24 hours I start the claim through eBay.

Once when it happened and I relisted I got about $20 less but also have received more before also. Everything evens out eventually. :)

How long do you wait for a buyer to pay for an auction on eBay? Sale ended on Feb 4th. There was some initial communication immediately following sale bit since then nothing.
How long do I wait to do something?
0 feedback on buyer, which did make me worry but I hoped that it was just the beginning for him. He did identify himself as a forum member, so I was hoping that that was going to make it a non issue.
I've emailed 2 through eBay and once through here.
I sent another email through eBay today and will wait another day, then try and contact eBay.
Here's the next question?
Do I divulge the name of forum member?
Buyer has responded to email. He's not going to buy them.
This is crappy when it happens on eBay with virtual internet strangers. It is a breach of implied trust when it happens with a member here. I say swing 'em from the highest tree.

What could be gained from such a reveal?
To help the chipper community at large. The person can be blocked from bidding on future eBay listings. The behavior is suspect at best, and is representative of someone who cannot be trusted. Imo, Junior24xx would be doing us a big favor by identifying persons who engage in such practices.

Both eBay and PCF username should be revealed, and added to the.'deals gone bad/buyers-sellers to avoid' section/thread.

I'm not sure how you can arrive at such a conclusion based on the limited amount of evidence we have. It's entirely possible the individual backed out for reasons which would appear reasonable if explained.

If there is cause to believe the intent was nefarious, then sure. We can hand out the pitchforks. If such cause exists, let it be known. Otherwise, let's shoot this drama llama and get back to the chips. Who's got some Proteges to sell?
