Ok, so how much more perfect are these cards in comparison to the perfectness of their previous cards?
But these are “FS - FSX” aka “Faded Spade FSX” aka “Faded Spade - Faded Spade Experience”

It’s the premier playing card of the poker community and enhances the poker playing experience

So, I'm happy to see it. They didn't just create some hype and give up. I've previously not been a fan, but I am hopeful, I don't expect the worst, but I won't be shocked if I don't like them.

Iteration is one of the best approaches imo.

lol love me some faded spade (the work great in shuffletech and have the best art) but not a fan of the gold backs.
Speaking of….I’m looking for bridge faded spades w purple green backs. They been sold out for over a month on their website.

I can’t imagine running a company and being this low on inventory frequently over the last few years.

fwiw, I'm just speculating. I suspect since they don't control the supply chain, once they run out of the initial manufactured batch, they can't go back to the same supplier because the supplier doesn't have the card stock anymore or cannot make the same end product for whatever reason.

Pretty sure those purple/green 3.0 are discontinued and they have no way to make more :(

Makes sense. So they never order enough lol or don’t know how to order again before selling out.

Haha I think @surfik was right!

there might be lots of problems
consider that they were pushing lot of their production in the previous years into casinos and clubs, propobly on discount prices and unknown length of contract
than you trying to improve your product what makes your margins of revenue even slimmer
but that is just an assumption
I would say that for relatively young brand with no plant and equipment they doing much better than I expected they would.

Faded Spade cards since 3.0 (including their classic and midnight editions) are almost certainly made by Kuo Kau:

Their current catalog still references the 0.34mm card stock that Faded Spade 3.0 uses, but it's no longer prominently featured as an option. It's possible that they've discontinued it, or Faded Spade has elected to no longer order it. If the 0.34mm stock is no longer available and Faded Spade has decided to stick with Kuo Kau, it's likely that they're switching to their 0.31mm stock. That would be an improvement in my opinion, for what that's worth. The 0.27mm glossy stock would be a significant downgrade, and I don't think they'd go that route. It's also possible that they've moved to an entirely different manufacturer.

On a related note, can anyone explain what "enhancing the memory ... of our poker playing cards without sacrificing feel and flexibility" is supposed to mean? Are the cards going to "remember" their shape after players peek at their cards? That would be terrible.
